Chapter 5

Atasha's POV

I stared at his face wondering how should I respond when my mind is blank.

"Why are you asking me when I don't get to decide for myself in the first place?" I asked which made him laugh.

Conrad stood up straight then placed his hand inside his pocket and looked at me intently.

"I'm giving you a choice now. I am being generous tonight Atasha," he says without breaking off the gaze.

"Will you accept this world and discover the truth behind your mother's death or you will walk away and get back to your old life?" he asked and he sounded so serious.

I want to choose the latter but I hear voices in my head pushing me to stay in this dark and cruel world to know the truth because I know even though I get back to my peaceful and planned life, things will never be the same again.

"I will stay in this place," I firmly responded which made him smile and nod his head.

"Your training will start tomorrow. You chose this life Atasha remember that" he uttered then left me in the room fu
