I lay on the big bed in our bedroom, waiting for him. The sheets felt cool against my skin. I had put on the black lace nightgown he liked. The lights were low. Soft music played from the speaker in the corner.

Adrian walked in a few minutes later. He closed the door and looked at me with that smile I used to love.

“You look so fucking good tonight,” he said.

“Come here,” I whispered.

He pulled off his shirt and climbed onto the bed. His hands slid under the lace. He kissed me slow at first, then deeper. Our tongues moved together. He tasted like the wine we had at dinner.

“I’ve been thinking about this all day,” he muttered against my mouth. “Thinking about being inside you.”

“Then stop talking and do it.”

He laughed low and tugged the nightgown up over my head. My bra came next. Then the thin panties. His pants and boxers followed. Skin against skin. Warm. Familiar.

He pushed my legs open and settled between them. Missionary, just how we always started. He rubbed the head of his cock against me, then pushed in deep.

“Fuck… Lila,” he groaned.

I wrapped my legs around his waist and crossed my ankles behind his back. He thrust hard. Deep. Steady. The bed creaked under us. My hands gripped his shoulders.

“Harder,” I said.

He gave it to me harder. His hips slammed against mine. Sweat started to form on his back. I could feel every thick inch of him.

Then his hand came up to my throat. Soft at first. Just resting there while he fucked me. I didn’t think much of it. Sometimes he liked to hold me that way. It made the sex feel hotter.

His grip tightened a little.

Still not enough to worry me.

He kept moving inside me, deep and rough. My legs stayed locked around him. The pressure on my neck grew. Bit by bit.

I tapped his arm. “Adrian… ease up.”

He didn’t. His fingers pressed harder. My breath got short.

I tapped again, stronger this time. “Stop. That’s too much.”

His eyes changed. Something cold slid into them. He saw that I understood. In one quick move he pinned both my wrists above my head with one hand and crushed his other hand fully around my throat.

I tried to push him off. My legs kicked. He was still buried deep inside me, still thrusting, still hard as iron.

“Shh,” he whispered. “Almost done.”

Black spots danced in front of my eyes. I clawed at his wrist. Nothing worked. He was stronger. He had always been stronger.

While he choked me, words started spilling from his mouth. Low. Almost gentle.

“You never saw it, did you? All these years. Your little sister… Maya. God, the way she feels when I’m inside her. Better than you ever were. She moans so sweet for me. We’ve been fucking for two years, Lila. Right under your nose.”

I tried to scream. Only a broken sound came out.

He kept talking, hips still moving.

“I never loved you. Not once. I married you for Nexus, besides it wasn’t yours to begin with. For the company. You were the chairwoman. All that power. All those shares. I needed them. So I smiled. I said the right things. I made you sign papers you never read properly. Transfer after transfer. Quiet. Legal. Now it’s all mine. Every last piece.”

My lungs burned. Tears ran down the sides of my face into the pillow.

“You were useful. That’s all. And now you’re not needed anymore.”

I fought. I twisted. I dug my nails into his arm until blood ran. He didn’t stop. He kept fucking me while the air left my body. His hand never loosened.

Hatred filled every part of me that still worked. Pure, black hatred. I stared into his eyes and forced the last words out in a broken whisper.

“I curse you… Adrian. I curse every day you have left. You’ll never know peace. Never.”

His face stayed calm. Almost bored.

The room went dark.

Everything stopped.

I gasped and sat up so hard the sheets tangled around my legs.

Sunlight poured through the windows. Not the soft night lights of our bedroom. Bright morning sun.

I looked around, heart slamming against my ribs.

This was not our house.

This was my old apartment. The one I lived in before the wedding. The white walls. The small kitchen I could see from the bed. The calendar hanging on the wall.

I stumbled out of bed and stared at the date.

One year earlier.

The day before my wedding to Adrian.

My hands shook as I touched my own throat. It hurts a little like I was still being choked but no hands were on me.

But the memories were still there. Every single second of that night. His hand. His words. Maya. The company. The papers. The way I died with him still inside me.

Was it a dream?

I was alive again.

And this time I knew everything.

  • REBORN TO RUIN HIM   Chapter 10: Inside

I could not stop seeing the photo. Adrian’s hand around Maya’s throat. The same grip. The same cold look in his eyes. It sat behind everything I did for the rest of the afternoon.I stayed in the bathroom longer than I needed to. The water ran hot over my shoulders while I stared at the tile wall. When I finally turned it off I wrapped a towel around myself and walked out.Adrian was waiting in the bedroom. He had taken off his shirt. His eyes moved over me the moment I appeared.“You took your time,” he said.I did not answer. I let the towel drop. He crossed the room and pulled me against him. His mouth found mine. The kiss was deep and hungry. His hands slid down my back and gripped my hips.“No more waiting,” he muttered.I pushed him toward the bed. He sat. I climbed onto his lap and straddled him. His cock was already hard between us. I reached down, guided him, and sank onto him slowly. He groaned. His hands tightened on my waist.I started to move. Slow. Steady. Up and down.

  • REBORN TO RUIN HIM   Chapter 9: The Envelope

I read the message twice. Rooftop café on 5th. Tomorrow 2 p.m. Come alone if you want the rest of the proof.I did not answer. I locked the phone and went back to bed. Adrian was still turned toward the window. I lay beside him without touching and waited for morning. The next day I dressed simply. Dark jeans. White blouse. No jewelry. I told Rosa I had a long meeting at the company and left before Adrian could ask questions. The driver dropped me two streets away from the café. I walked the rest of the way.The rooftop was quiet. A few tables under white umbrellas. I chose one near the edge where I could see the door. At exactly two a woman walked in. Older than me. Maybe mid-fifties. Calm face. Gray streak in her hair. She carried a thin brown envelope. She sat across from me without smiling. “You’re Lila.”“Yes.”She placed the envelope on the table between us. “I used to work for his family. Years ago. I saw things. I kept quiet then. I’m not quiet anymore.”I did not reach for

I turned the phone off and slid the earring into the drawer of my nightstand. The video still played behind my eyes. Adrian’s voice. Maya’s soft cries. The way he had spoken about Nexus like it was already his.The bathroom door opened. I wiped my face quickly and sat on the edge of the bed as if nothing had happened. Adrian walked out with a towel around his waist. He looked at me for a second, then went to the closet without speaking.Morning came. He left early for a meeting. I stayed home until noon, moving through the rooms like a guest in my own house. Rosa asked if I wanted lunch. I told her I was not hungry. In the afternoon the front door opened sooner than I expected. Adrian’s footsteps came up the stairs fast. He found me in the bedroom folding a sweater. He closed the door behind him and turned the lock.“I couldn’t stop thinking about you,” he said.He crossed the room in three steps and pushed me back against the wall. His mouth covered mine hard. One hand gripped my wai

I stared at the message for a long time. The words sat on the screen like a knife. I did not reply. I saved the number under a blank name and locked the phone.Adrian came back from the shower a few minutes later. He walked into the living room naked, water still on his skin. He took my hand and pulled me upstairs without speaking. In bed he drew me against his chest and settled his hand over my breast. His breathing slowed. Soon he was asleep.I stayed awake. The ceiling looked the same as every other night, but nothing felt the same. The message kept turning in my head. Someone else knew. Someone who should not know.Morning came gray and quiet. Adrian was already dressed when I came downstairs. The black folder sat on the breakfast table. He pushed it toward me while Rosa poured coffee.“Any word from your lawyer?” he asked.“He needs two more days,” I said. My voice stayed soft. “He’s careful with these things.”Adrian watched me over the rim of his cup. The smile he gave me di

  • REBORN TO RUIN HIM   Chapter 6 : The Morning Touch

I woke to the feel of Adrian pressed hard against my back. His arm was already around my waist. His mouth brushed the side of my neck.“Morning,” he whispered. His hand slid down and slipped between my legs. “I’ve missed this. Missed being inside you.”My body reacted before my mind could stop it. Heat spread low in my stomach. I let out a soft breath and pushed back against him just enough. His fingers moved slowly, teasing. He kissed my shoulder and pressed closer.“You’re already wet,” he murmured. “Let me have you.”I moaned quietly so he would believe it. His cock rubbed against me, thick and ready. He shifted, trying to push inside from behind. I waited until the head of him brushed my entrance, then reached back and stopped him.“My head still hurts too much,” I said. My voice was soft, almost sorry. “Not yet.”He froze. I felt the frustration in the way his hand tightened on my hip. For a second I thought he might ignore me. Then he let out a slow breath and pulled away.“Alri

  • REBORN TO RUIN HIM   Chapter 5: First Moves

After the front door closed I stayed by the window a little longer. Then I locked the bedroom door and sat on the bed with my phone. I opened the video and watched it again from the start. Adrian’s voice. Maya’s soft laughs. The clear words about the papers and Nexus. My stomach twisted, but I forced myself to finish it.I sent the file to two private cloud accounts I had never shared with anyone. Then I copied it onto a small USB drive I kept in an old jewelry box. When that was done I deleted the original from the phone and put the phone away.I dressed quickly and called my driver. “Take me to the Nexus building.”The morning traffic was light. At the office the security guard nodded when he saw me. I went straight to the legal floor and asked for Mr. Han. He had been my father’s lawyer for twenty years. Quiet man. Careful. Loyal. He stood when I entered his office. “Miss Lila. I didn’t expect you so soon after the wedding.”“I need a few things done today,” I said. “No one else
