SEBASTIAN
Nothing memorable? Did she say there was nothing memorable about the house we both loved in for years? I wasn't hurt by those words, I was angered. I can understand why she would hate me, but we've had our moments in this house. It wasn't all bad. It was memorable. I might not have shown it, but I enjoyed our time together. I hoped against all hope that she remembered the good times and probably enjoyed them too. It surprisingly hurtful that she doesn't. "Well, I'm glad," Sienna said cheerily. "I was hoping I didn't unsettle you." I knew what she was doing. She arranged this just for this. She wanted a reaction out of this. It was annoying but I can't deny the fact that it was working. When we arrived at the living room, I was once again assaulted by pictures of me and Sienna. Pictures I didn't even know existed until now. She had them everywhere. "Don't you like it, darling?" She said in a sing song voice as she leaned into my arm. "I think I do," Athena smiled. "You two look great together." "We do, right?" Sienna said animatedly. "I was spoiled for choice! You should see how hard it was to pick!" "Did you two come here to chat?" I asked coldly as I took a seat on the couch. "If you did, then I would gladly excuse myself. I am too busy for idle chatter." "Oh, right," Sienna said as she sat beside me while Athena and her assistant sat opposite us on the two armchairs. "I heard you were done with my jewelry, Athena. You didn't make it worse than your other works, did you?" That was a subtle jab at Athena and a poor one at that. Athena smiled in response. "Don't worry. There's not much to ruin when it comes to you, miss Sienna." Sienna bristled at that. For someone who tries a lot to rile people up, she was too easily riled up. "What is that supposed to mean?" She asked coldly. "Nothing, Sienna," Athena laughed. "I have your jewelries and I think you would love it." "Seeing your attitude, I highly doubt it," Sienna said with a frown. "Show me." "With pleasure," Athena nodded and gestured for her assistant to present the briefcase she held since she arrived and even I found myself quite interested in seeing the personal craft of Valerian jewelries. One personally supervised by Athena. Her assistant elegantly strolled up to us, placed the briefcase on the table, popped the lid, and spun it around for us to see. I was blown away by the beauty of it. The gemstone on the necklace was a mix of diamonds and an orange coloured gemstone that matched Sienna's hazel eyes. The way the gemstone caught the light, it seemsed like there was living fire trapped in the crystal. It was such a beauty to behold. So much so that I couldn't help the immense satisfaction I felt just staring at the gemstone. The design was quite specific, made in the form of a teardrop after Sienna talked about her love for Teardrop gems. Hers and my initials were etched into one side of the gem to define its significance. The lace was also a mix of the orange gemstone and diamonds, mixed in such a way that it sparkled like fire. I can already see how well it would suit her eyes when Sienna wears it. The teardrop pendant was attached to the necklace on a rotating axis so that the part with the initials was also easily accessible. The earrings were also as much of a beauty as the necklace, and the ring was just as impressive. I couldn't help but stare for a lot longer than I should, marveling at the intricate handling, detailing and pure genius of the design. Sienna was struck speechless as she stared. When I could finally look at her face, I could see the conflict in her expression. She obviously wanted to hate this jewelry just as much as she hated the jeweler. She wanted to say all of the terrible things she could think of about it. But, it seemed impossible. "It was made with a rare gem called Mandarin Garnet. I can give a lot more details regarding it, but I think you should know most of them yourself already." Sienna looked up at Athena with resentment. "What?" Athena smiled. "You thought I'd make a subpar jewelry. You paid too much for me to do anything of the sort even if I wanted to." Sienna's glare remained for a few seconds and then she scoffed. "Get off your high horse. I've seen better." Athena laughed at that. A genuine laugh full of mirth. She actually found that funny. "I can agree that you might have seen better," she said as she calmed herself. "I have a made some pretty good looking ones other than this, but you don't have better, do you?" Sienna seemed peeved by that and retorted without much thought. "I have quite a few gems the colour of my eyes, you bitch." Athena shrugged as she leaned back into her chair. "On your honour as a werewolf and the future Luna, which one is better?" She grinned. "Mine or theirs?" "That's enough," I sighed as I stood up. "You have outdone yourself, Athena. I look forward to this quality when you make mine." "Of course, Alpha," she bowed elegantly. "It might be a lot better compared to this. My job deals on information just as much as it deals on design. The more I know about you, the better I can design your jewelry, and I do know a lot about you, Alpha Sebastian." Sienna bristled and was about to speak when I spoke over her. "You can inform me whenever you need to know something. I'll create the time." "Of course," she nodded. "I am glad you are willing to share information. I can assure you, you will be amazed." From how rigid Sienna was, I could tell I was the only reason she hadn't attacked Athena. It was strangely satisfying.SEBASTIAN Nothing memorable? Did she say there was nothing memorable about the house we both loved in for years? I wasn't hurt by those words, I was angered. SIENNAThe mansion bustled with activity as I hustled to get everything in order. The maids cleaned the halls even harder than they usually did. They decorated as lavishly as they could. They cooked the best meals with the utmost effort. In a matter of hours, the mansion had been completely transformed. Now, it truly looked and felt like a palace worthy of royalty. One would assume we were getting ready for a ball or for some important event, but they'd be quite distant from the truth. The reason was a lot more petty than that. Athena was coming over. I personally requested that she came over. I needed to show her that I am a better Luna than she ever was in all aspects of the word. I wanted to see the jealousy in her eyes. I wanted to see that expression of defeat in her eyes, and I was ready to work hard for it. My assistant, Rachel, hurried over to my side as I yelled at a pair of sluggish maids. "The Alpha has arrived," she informed me. I grinned at that word and hurried
SEBASTIAN Athena stared at my hand for a few seconds Nd then stepped out of the helicopter on her own, without taking it. "No, thank you," she said as she strolled past me. "I don't need your help."That hurt. I know I deserved it but that really hurt. I forced a smile as I turned to walk beside her."People usually accept the hand out of courtesy, not out of necessity," I said with my smile still plastered on my face. "Well, it wasn't necessary," she replied with a shrug and then to stare at me as she walked, causing me to stare back. "And I don't owe you any courtesy.""That's fair enough," I nodded as we reached the elevator. "It was quite hurtful still.""Too bad," she shrugged as she pressed the number six on the elevator. It was a swift and silent ride down one floor and we were soon standing in a pretty wide hallway with her assistant who had been waiting in front of the elevator and seemed shocked to see me with Athena."Good morning, Alpha," she bowed in greeting. "I did
ATHENAThe drive to the office was one that I thoroughly enjoyed. Bella had gone ahead earlier than me to get things ready and adjust my schedule for the day. I suddenly realised how much I've missed being able to enjoy my time on drives alone. When I left Dradesvow, all I could do was spend time alone as I was too busy to make friends or connections outside business and that meant a lot of alone time to study. We soon arrived at the office building, a massive structure with a showroom spanning through the entire bottom floor, offices on the second and third floors, a smaller but more expensive showroom on the fifth floor, and mine and Bella's office on the entire sixth floor. I noticed a small crowd at the entrance. They were trying to be discreet but it was obvious that they were failing at it. Some sat on benches around with their jackets draped over something I suspect was a camera, others tried fooling themselves like they were leisurely strolling around except for the fact t
ATHENAFor the first time since I arrived at the Black Moon Pack, I decided to step out of the mansionand just explore the Pack's estate where my home was situated. I had never taken a walk in all the time I was here so it seemed quite fitting to just let myself enjoy the sights. I had nothing better to do anyways.Bella insisted to no avail to accompany me or at least allow a guard to, but I refused. I needed this time to myself, and I'm petty sure I can handle myself in the pack I grew up.It took a while of convincing, cajoling and coercing before she finally decided to trust me and let me leave on my own. The scenery of the pack as I went about my evening stroll was quite nostalgic. In the past, I never really went out much since I lived at the Alpha's mansion and that diminished even further when I caught the Alpha's fancy as a guinea pig for Sienna's condition. Now, that I think of it, I was such a fool to have stayed so long. Who abuses the woman they had even an ounce of
SEBASTIAN The day has been quite slow. One filled with a blur of words and numbers as I read through documents and approved contracts. It was quite tiring to deal with. In fact, it was my least favourite part of being successful. With a sigh, I leaned back away from the computer screen and let out an exhausted sigh. Business have been great lately, especially since it was made public that I had been able to pull Valerian's CEO into Dradesvow for a more personal attention to my mating ceremony's jewelry. A lot of people have tried to get in contact with her through me, especially those who are hoping to establish a more intimate connection with her. Now that I think about it, I've been very hostile to those ones who desire intimacy with her. I know I shouldn't be trying to keep them away from her. If Athena heard of this, she'd say I had no rights over her and no right to act like I did, but so what? I can't excuse the fact that I failed her, but I also can't deny the fact that
