ATHENA

"Athena, let's talk better in my office," Sebastian said as he immediately started walking in the direction of his office.

"Why would you two do that?" Sienna asked standing up, her glare fixed on me. "We still have dinner to be had."

"I have no interest in dinner at the moment,x Sebastian said as he kept walking.

"What do you need to talk about in private?" She hissed. "I am your wife!"

"To be," Sebastian said calmly. "You are my wife to be, Sienna, and I haven't forgotten that. I have business with Athena. Besides, I don't think you both should be in each other's company at the moment."

"Oh, I'm fine with Sienna's company, Alpha," I smiled easily. "Honestly, I might like her company more. We can have our girls talk without eavesdropping."

Sebastian seemed taken aback by my reply and stood stunned for a few seconds before clearing his throat awkwardly.

"I see."

Sienna looked dumbfounded at my words and stared at me in confusion.

"I'll be in my office then," Sebastian said as he turned to keep walking. "Come see me before you leave."

"Of course, Alpha," I curtsied smoothly.

We were silent until we were sure that Sebastian was out of earshot before I spoke.

"You said you had dinner ready?" I asked. "I'm famished."

Sienna seemed to have shaken off the initial shock of my rejection of Sebastian's invitation as she cocked an eyebrow.

"You want to eat my cooking?"

"Of course not," I chuckled. "I know you are not the one who cooked it. You never have, have you?"

Her smile turned steely as her attention remained on me.

"Why are you here?"

"You invited me to come deliver your jewelry," I replied. "Did you forget?"

"Don't play smart with me now," Sienna hissed.

"Oh?" I feigned surprise. "I thought that's what we've been doing all evening."

"Why didn't you take Sebastian's invitation?" She asked.

"And run away from you?" I scoffed. "Not in a million years."

Her frown was quite evident now.

She was scowling.

"Now, can we eat?" I asked calmly. "I really am famished."

She seemed to contemplate it and then shrugged.

"Why not? You know the way to the dining room."

"Unfortunately, I don't," I shrugged. "You're the hostess and like you said, a lot of things have changed in here. It isn't the place I used to know."

"You're annoying," Sienna said with a pointed look.

"Annoying?" I asked. "You think it's annoying to get a taste of your own medicine?"

"You-"

"I've lost my appetite," I sighed. "I will just go see the Alpha and head home. Bella, will you wait at the car? I'll be out in a bit."

"Yes, ma'am," Bella nodded and turned to leave.

Once Bella was out, I made my way past her, towards Sebastian's office.

Just as I walked past her, she grabbed my arm.

"I don't care what you think you have become. You are still the poor Omega. You are the donor who gave me your plasma while taking my abuse everyday. I will not lose to you."

"Remember what happened the last time you taunted me like this?" I asked, my tone turning cold and serious. "Did you forget why I was asked to give you plasma?"

Her grip around my arm loosened and for a second I could see the look of terror from the day I slapped her.

"Be careful what you say, Sienna," I smiled. "You were never my competition."

She laughed hysterically at that.

"Really? I am the one with the Sebastian. I am the one getting mated to him. You are nothing but a jeweler."

"Then why are you so scared?" I smiled. "Are you paranoid of all of your jewelers? Why are you scared of a mere jeweler, future Luna?"

I gently pulled my arm from her grip.

"Food for thought."

With that, I strolled triumphantly to the hallway where Sebastian's office was located.

"I thought the house was unfamiliar," she asked from where she stood. "Don't you need me to lead you to his office?"

"Oh, no," I smiled. "I remember this route quite well."

I could feel her simmering anger as she slowly lost control of her wolf. She wanted to attack. She was desperate to pounce on me.

And by the goddess, I was desperate for it as well.

There were so many pent up emotions inside me. There was so much anger in my heart that it was taking all of my willpower to control myself.

I needed a reason to let all of it out.

An attack was a justifiable reason.

I needed her to give in to the violence in her heart and attack me.

I maintained my façade of calm until I reached the Alpha's office.

"Come in," his deep smooth voice said before I knocked.

I opened the door and closed it behind me before meeting his eyes that were trained on me.

"Done having your girls' talk?"

"Of course," I mockingly bowed. "I came to inform you that I am about to take my leave."

"I gave you an out, Athena," he sighed. "Why did you have to stay and rile her up."

I frowned at those words.

"An out?" I asked. "How brazen of you. You think you gave me an out? You think I'd rather be in your company instead?"

He was in front of me in a second. I couldn't even follow his movements.

He pinned me to the door and growled in my face.

"I do not appreciate the lack of manners towards your Alpha, Athena."

"So what?" I asked, meeting his eyes. "What are you going to do about it, Alpha?"

His eyes held mine for a few seconds and then drifted downwards, to my lips, then to my chest.

"My eyes are up here, Alpha," I called.

"I don't want to see the hatred in them," he replied without looking up. "Your body doesn't hate me."

He moved closer and I felt my breath hitch at the proximity.

He leaned in to my neck as he took in my scent and planted a kiss on my neck.

"It wants me. You want me."

SEBASTIANI could feel her breath quicken as I spoke into her neck. "You're delusional," she said, hee voice calm despite her hitched breath. I chuckled. "Maybe, or I am right."I lifted my head until our eyes met again. "Why does your body contrast those hateful eyes so much?" "My body and my eyes convey the same message," she hissed. "With all due respect, you make my skin crawl, Alpha."I smiled at that. "Of course."I snaked an arm around her waist and pullee her into me until there was no space between our bodies. "Why don't I trust you?" "I neither know, nor do i care," she replied defiantly. "If you would excuse me, I'd like to take my leave.""And if I don't?" I asked. "What would you do?""Do you really want to do this here?"she asked as she gently squirmed in my arm, trying to create any sort of distance even though she knew it was futile. "Sienna is just a few paces away.""Since when did you care about Sienna?" I asked as my eyes trailed down to her breasts again.

  • RETURN OF THE WHITE SHE WOLF    Chapter 20

SEBASTIAN Nothing memorable? Did she say there was nothing memorable about the house we both loved in for years? I wasn't hurt by those words, I was angered. I can understand why she would hate me, but we've had our moments in this house. It wasn't all bad. It was memorable. I might not have shown it, but I enjoyed our time together. I hoped against all hope that she remembered the good times and probably enjoyed them too. It surprisingly hurtful that she doesn't. "Well, I'm glad," Sienna said cheerily. "I was hoping I didn't unsettle you."I knew what she was doing. She arranged this just for this. She wanted a reaction out of this. It was annoying but I can't deny the fact that it was working. When we arrived at the living room, I was once again assaulted by pictures of me and Sienna. Pictures I didn't even know existed until now. She had them everywhere. "Don't you like it, darling?" She said in a sing song voice as she leaned into my arm."I think I do," Athena smil

SIENNAThe mansion bustled with activity as I hustled to get everything in order. The maids cleaned the halls even harder than they usually did. They decorated as lavishly as they could. They cooked the best meals with the utmost effort. In a matter of hours, the mansion had been completely transformed. Now, it truly looked and felt like a palace worthy of royalty. One would assume we were getting ready for a ball or for some important event, but they'd be quite distant from the truth. The reason was a lot more petty than that. Athena was coming over. I personally requested that she came over. I needed to show her that I am a better Luna than she ever was in all aspects of the word. I wanted to see the jealousy in her eyes. I wanted to see that expression of defeat in her eyes, and I was ready to work hard for it. My assistant, Rachel, hurried over to my side as I yelled at a pair of sluggish maids. "The Alpha has arrived," she informed me. I grinned at that word and hurried

SEBASTIAN Athena stared at my hand for a few seconds Nd then stepped out of the helicopter on her own, without taking it. "No, thank you," she said as she strolled past me. "I don't need your help."That hurt. I know I deserved it but that really hurt. I forced a smile as I turned to walk beside her."People usually accept the hand out of courtesy, not out of necessity," I said with my smile still plastered on my face. "Well, it wasn't necessary," she replied with a shrug and then to stare at me as she walked, causing me to stare back. "And I don't owe you any courtesy.""That's fair enough," I nodded as we reached the elevator. "It was quite hurtful still.""Too bad," she shrugged as she pressed the number six on the elevator. It was a swift and silent ride down one floor and we were soon standing in a pretty wide hallway with her assistant who had been waiting in front of the elevator and seemed shocked to see me with Athena."Good morning, Alpha," she bowed in greeting. "I did

  • RETURN OF THE WHITE SHE WOLF    Chapter 17

ATHENAThe drive to the office was one that I thoroughly enjoyed. Bella had gone ahead earlier than me to get things ready and adjust my schedule for the day. I suddenly realised how much I've missed being able to enjoy my time on drives alone. When I left Dradesvow, all I could do was spend time alone as I was too busy to make friends or connections outside business and that meant a lot of alone time to study. We soon arrived at the office building, a massive structure with a showroom spanning through the entire bottom floor, offices on the second and third floors, a smaller but more expensive showroom on the fifth floor, and mine and Bella's office on the entire sixth floor. I noticed a small crowd at the entrance. They were trying to be discreet but it was obvious that they were failing at it. Some sat on benches around with their jackets draped over something I suspect was a camera, others tried fooling themselves like they were leisurely strolling around except for the fact t
