Anvesha yawned as she got up at seven in the evening when her phone rang. She sighed looking at the caller ID as she received the call.
“Hello”, she said groggily and was startled to hear the energetic voice of Adhyayan who greeted her cheerfully. “Can I have the honor of taking you to a walk, my lady?” Adhyayan said gleefully. Having taken immense rest and a relaxing bath, he was surely refreshed as he enjoyed the chilly breeze while standing in the balcony.“How do you manage to be so fresh?” Anvesha whined while he just chuckled and said, “Let’s meet at dinner, then.”“At eight”, Anvesha said as she glanced at the close windows of her room. The clock struck five in the morning and the early bird Adhyayan woke up. A smile crept on his face as the events of previous night flashed in front of his eyes. Taking a deep breath, he rubbed his eyes groggily as he got up from the bed and walked towards the balcony stretching his arms. He was greeted by the mesmerizing view of the rising sun amidst the mountains at the horizon. After enjoying the delicious breakfast amidst the calm and lazy air of Lansdowne, the couple planned their sight-seeing activities. Having lived in the town, Adhyayan became the tour guide for his girlfriend as they headed towards their first destination, one of the oldest churches of the city.Adhyayan drove towards St. Mary Church. The serene journey with a narrow mountainous road encapsulated with Oak and Pine trees was truly mesmerizing. Hruday sighed as he hailed the cab and asked the driver to drive towards Love=Food. It was one thirty in the afternoon and he was dead tired. After a tiring journey from Darjeeling to New Delhi and a business meeting with two of his corporate associates, the young businessman was truly tired. All he wanted was to go back to Anvesha’s place and sleep. However, when his sister had asked him to attend a lunch and meet her boyfriend because she had to conduct the live debate at night and hence, dinner was not feasible, Hruday could not deny. Adhyayan was beyond angry. He tried calling Anvesha again and again but his girlfriend, who was herself in a trance did not receive the call and switched her phone off. He was shocked as he wondered what went wrong. As far as he remembered, he had proposed his lovely girlfriend to get married while never in his dreams could he think of the incomprehensible response from Anvesha’s side.Anvesha could sense her dreams shattering in a second with the word ‘marriage’.
