It was four in the morning when Adhyayan’s alarm beeped and he sprang from his bed groggily. He mentally cursed himself for planning an early morning trip. Being a morning person, practically Adhyayan never had issue with getting up early in the morning. Usually his day began at five but still, four o’clock in the morning was too early for him.
It was Saturday and he was going to visit Lansdowne, a destination close to his heart with someone whom he loved from the bottom of his heart, Anvesha. Taking a relaxing shower, Adhyayan stood in his balcony wearing a grey polo T-shirt and sweatpants as he sipped his special tea, his all-time favorite, the most energetic, masala chai. Anvesha yawned as she got up at seven in the evening when her phone rang. She sighed looking at the caller ID as she received the call.“Hello”, she said groggily and was startled to hear the energetic voice of Adhyayan who greeted her cheerfully.“Can I have the honor of taking you to a walk, my lady?” Adhyayan said gleefully. Adhyayan closed his eyes as the past memories flashed in front of his eyes. He opened his mouth to speak but could not find words. The clock struck five in the morning and the early bird Adhyayan woke up. A smile crept on his face as the events of previous night flashed in front of his eyes. Taking a deep breath, he rubbed his eyes groggily as he got up from the bed and walked towards the balcony stretching his arms. He was greeted by the mesmerizing view of the rising sun amidst the mountains at the horizon. Having lived in the town, Adhyayan became the tour guide for his girlfriend as they headed towards their first destination, one of the oldest churches of the city.Adhyayan drove towards St. Mary Church. The serene journey with a narrow mountainous road encapsulated with Oak and Pine trees was truly mesmerizing. Hruday sighed as he hailed the cab and asked the driver to drive towards Love=Food. It was one thirty in the afternoon and he was dead tired.
