At the cafe

I arrived at the cafe, less crowded with few people in it. Found a seat at the side of the window and sat down. I needed some time to think, that’s why I decided to come here.

I ordered a coffee and was sipping slowly from the cup whilst watching people, through the window. I ordered the coffee which was my mom’s favorite as it felt as if I was in her embrace again, and I could feel her again.

Each time I looked around, I could see the gaze of the cafe’s visitors on me and their whispering. It did make me feel uncomfortable. So I had my face turned to the window and was strolling down my phone.

Logan was all over the news.

I sighed, sipped from the coffee, and flipped my phone on the table. I heard a few commotion inside the cafe which I had ignored.

“Seraphim?”

I turned, seeing the face of my former mate. Logan Miller was looking at me furiously.
