Chapter 119

Regina

I walked down the street with a sense of unease, my mind filled with conflicting thoughts and emotions. I knew I needed help, but I couldn't bring myself to accept it. Not from Jason, not from anyone.

As I walked, I heard his footsteps behind me, and I knew he was trying to catch up. I tried to ignore him, to block him out like I always did, but he persisted.

"Regina, please let me help you," he said, his voice gentle and kind.

I shook my head, not looking back at him. "I don't need your help," I replied, my voice cold and distant.

But even as I spoke the words, I knew they weren't true. I did need help. I needed it desperately. But I couldn't bring myself to accept it.

As we walked, the voices in my head grew louder, drowning out everything else. They whispered to me, telling me things I didn't want to hear, things that scared me.

And as I listened to them, I realized that I was lost. Lost in my own thoughts, lost in my own fears, and unable to find my way out.
