Declan clenched his fist hard, trying to suppress the anger inside of him. His wolf was the most furious, and he felt like jumping at someone. John had demeaned him with no regard, and his mother had sat there acting like it's nothing. His ego felt bruised, even if he hasn't done much, that doesn't make him weak.

“I will make him regret ever talking down at me like that. Is this what you want, mum? For people to see me as a weakling and have no fear of calling me one. Thanks for birthing a fool like me!” He glared.

Leila sighed, the room had been tensed since the leader of the rogue left. It was more tiring considering how angered Declan is. “Calm down, baby. There is no need to act fussy, what we need right now is to find a solution. It's obvious we can't give up now.”

“You had better listen to your girlfriend, she appears more sensible than you are.” Elizabeth mocked him.
