ADIRA'S POV

The arrangement for the marriage ceremony was faster than it would be normally because I was not interested in it. Everything was done fast, and in the next couple of days everything was ready.

A part of me had thought that I would feel excited this morning, but as I woke up I did not feel any excitement. The marriage felt like a responsibility, which is exactly what it was.

A knock came at the door. I stirred and dragged myself up.

“Lady Adira, it is time to start preparing,” Rose said as soon as I opened the door.

I sighed and turned back, heading to the bed.

“Have you been sleeping?” she asked, eyebrows raised.

“Yes, I feel exhausted,” I replied.

“You do not just sound exhausted; you seem uninterested in everything,” she muttered.

“That is because I am uninterested. I wish I did not have to go through this,” I sighed.

“But you have to. It is important that you do, right?” she asked.

“Yes, I guess,” I replied quietly.

“Then put on your big girl shoes and do what needs to

  • Reborn for vengeance: From ashes to Luna    Chapter 87

ADIRA'S POVI clenched my fist until my nails were digging into my flesh. My heart was beating rapidly against my ribs. I was suddenly on edge and aware of how much I had tampered with fate.As I looked into his eyes, they looked different, and that scared me.He was confessing his feelings, but instead of being emotional, I was rather scared. Scared of how much he had changed and how it might change the flow of things. The changes I was making in this lifetime were altering the flow of how things had happened in the past. And while I was okay with that before, now I was suddenly scared.“I cannot allow him to come with me to my parents' pack. He was not with me in the past; actually, he did not care whether I was leaving or not in my past life. So if he comes with me now, that will be one more thing that has been altered. And the second rule, as I have noticed, was that for every change made, something new happens.”I moved away from him and turned around, grabbing the edge of the ta

RYDER'S POV“Is there anything else you would like in the office?” I asked. “What about the chair? You should sit on it and check if it is comfortable. And the table too. Working for long hours is hard, but it helps if you are comfortable.” I rambled on.“Everything is okay. The office is temporary, so I will just make do with it,” she replied. Her words dampened my mood a bit, but I shook it off. I had three months to get her to love me again. "There was no way I would fail to bring her walls down in three months." I encouraged myself.“Ohh, I forgot to tell you.” She turned away from the window and faced me. “I will be visiting my parents tomorrow, and I will probably stay a few days.”“You will be staying a few days? Why? Is something wrong?” I asked a bit too eagerly.“No. I just want to visit. Do not make it sound like something bad has to happen before I can visit my parents. We have established the fact that I can leave the pack whenever I want without questions. I am only tell

RYDER'S POVThis morning she had left the house in a hurry, and now she does not have time to come see her new office.“She just became Luna yesterday. How can she already have so many things keeping her busy? Or does she not have my time?” I muttered to myself.“You sound like a lovesickpuppy.” My wolf teased. “I never knew you could love like this.”“Ohh, shut up… You are no different from me.” I hissed and returned to my table.“Ohh, I am very different from you. I was very sincere with my feelings from the start.” He chuckled. “You know this is why they say late bloomers are the worst. Maybe it is because you all started late, but you always end up doing too much.”I hissed and blocked our connection. I was tired of hearing his voice. I focused on the pile of work on my table. It somehow never finishes no matter how much I work. It was tiring, but that was what it meant to be alpha.“But I have a Luna now,” I thought to myself.“You mean a Luna that does not give a fuck about you?

  • Reborn for vengeance: From ashes to Luna    Chapter 84

ADIRA'S POVIf they truly died by poisoning, that means the person who tried to kill them is in their pack. But who?Or could my wolf be correct? Was Lumina’s and my death actually linked with my parents' death?Everything I had at this point was only speculation.“But in your dream, you did not push back going to see your parents. Why did you shift it this time?” Lyra asked.“I was hoping that pushing it back would give me time to figure out what is really going on. What if their death will happen only after I visit? That would mean that if I visit today, then they will die tomorrow. So going there without first figuring things out will be setting them up to die. I was too scared to just jump right in with all these thoughts in my head.”“I understand,” Lyra replied. “But what if it will happen regardless of whether you go or not? I believe that the earlier you go, the better. Go tomorrow if you can. If they are really going to die by poisoning, then they could be dead any minute.”H

  • Reborn for vengeance: From ashes to Luna    Chapter 83

ADIRA'S POVI once watched a movie where a girl could see the future, but she could not tell anyone because having supernatural powers was equal to death. So she had to keep it a secret. Then came a time when she foresaw the death of many. This vision put her in a tight corner. She could not allow so many people to die, but there was also no way to convince them to leave the place where the accident would happen. So now she had to find a way to save everyone alone. As I walked away from Grandpa Alan’s place, that was exactly how I felt. Powerless in a world where only I knew what would happen next. The situation was dicey, and the first rule was that I could not tell anyone the truth. But I needed help figuring things out, and there was no one to ask, no one to tell.I stood on a path, and before me were four paths, each leading to a different section of the pack, but I still had nowhere to go.“What do I do now?” I asked myself, head pounding. “How do I figure things out? How do I sa

  • Reborn for vengeance: From ashes to Luna    Chapter 82

ADIRA'S POVAs morning came, I still had not figured anything out despite being up all night. I quickly did Lumina’s and my morning routine, and we were downstairs in no time.It was gradually becoming a morning ritual to come down to Ryder in the kitchen wearing an apron. But today he did not bother to wear a shirt underneath. His chest was on full display except for the parts covered by the little apron, which did nothing to hide the chiseled chest and abs.And something told me it was intentional.I looked away before I would get caught staring. “If you are going to cook every morning, then maybe you should get yourself an apron that actually fits you. You should cover up properly when you cook in case of accidents.”He looked up from what he was doing and smirked. “Are you looking out for me?” he asked.I did not bother replying. I busied myself strapping Lumina into her high chair that she used for eating. As I got up, I turned toward him just as Ryder lifted a strand of spaghett
