ログインKIAN
Several hours had passed by since he discovered that his pack was being used as a passageway for illegal activities without his knowledge. That had contributed to his rage which resulted in him being unable to control it. The other Alpha had stood up, promising not to forget the humiliation he was subjected to that day.
He didn’t care, not one fucking bit. If war is what Alpha Thane wants then a fucking war he will get. His anger still hasn’t faded, leaving him no choice but to go to the training ground and train it out of his system, it was a healthy way to let out anger… or something like that.
From the corner of his eyes, he could see Shade approaching him with a sword hidden behind his back. If he was in a better mood, he would have smirked at his attempt to catch him off guard. He blocks the attack as soon as he launches it, while Shade fights with a sword, he fights with his claws.
He never likes weapons anyway, except when he’s hunting. He loves using his hands, it makes him feel good to know that his hands weren’t used for speaking only. Growing up, his guardian had tried to make him use weapons, afraid he would lose his arms in battle one day and that would render him completely unable to communicate.
“You win!” Shade announced, collapsing on the floor with his sword several feet away from him.
He smirks at him, extending his hand to help him up from the floor. They both turned in time to see Xavie making her way towards them. His frown deepened at her new appearance, what the hell was she up to now? He knew he wouldn’t figure it out even if he tried. The female mind was a puzzle to him and he gave up trying to understand it a long time ago.
Shade winks at him, clearly misunderstanding his dumb founded reaction. “I just remember there’s something I need to take care of, should I send for Tint?”
She only spoke when Shade disappeared out of sight. “What do you think? I realize earlier that a memory loss isn’t enough to fool Alec, since Annika isn’t buying the whole thing. Knowing her, she will be working double time to prove to Alec that Nyx and Xavie are the same person.”
He nodded, to let her know he was listening. A part of him agrees with her logic even though he thought changing her hair wasn’t really necessary. His plans wouldn't make Alec second guess her identity because he has been pulling a few strings of his own.
“Well, if that’s all then. I better go get ready for tonight’s party.”
He watched her leave, his chest tightening with pain which made it a bit difficult for him to breathe properly. He couldn’t even the way he was feeling, how unfair it was that Xavie got a second chance while his sister didn’t. Perhaps it’s the universe punishing him for his sins, he couldn’t save his sister.
The more he thought about it, the more his fingers clenched in anger, the frustrating part of it all was the fact that he had no one but himself to blame for her death. If only he had been against the pairing a lot harder, if only…
“Too late to take a picture now don’t you think? She’s long gone.” Derek’s voice cut into his brooding thoughts.
He blinks, redirecting the focus of his gaze back to his guardian. “Now what?” He signed.
“Now what? Now, can we talk about the decisions you’ve been making lately? How about you discarding all I have taught you about controlling your rage? You’re being very reckless and I’m not a fan of it. A few days ago, you married a woman who I’m not certain remembers her own name and now? We might have a war on our hands, war makes people miserable, especially the innocent citizens.
“Ha, this is really just about my wife isn’t it? You don’t like her? Fine! But I beg you to keep those opinions to yourself and as for Alpha Thane, he fucking had it coming.” He signed back with boredom.
”Hmmm, the weather has been nice these past couple of days, we should go fishing soon.”
“What? No!” He signed but it was useless.
Derek already looked away from him, walking into the distance. He wanted to bang his head against the nearest surface so desperately in frustration but instead of doing that, he made his way back into the palace to freshen up.
He knocked on the door, pausing to see if Xavie was inside. When there was no clear response, he made himself comfortable. He missed having the place all to himself and with Xavie around, he had to stay away.
About half an hour later, he emerged from the bathroom. If he were to know she may be in the room when he came out, he could have stayed in there longer because now things just got awkward between them.
Her eyes widened in a way that made him frown, she immediately turned her back on him. “I’m sorry, I thought you were still at the training ground, I’ll give you some privacy now.” Then she fled, like she was chased.
He looked down at himself the same way she had, shaking his head. Has she never seen a wet male before? For whatever reason, the idea stirred curiosity in him. Pushing her odd reaction from his mind, he starts getting dressed.
They met again on the first floor with Tint already waiting for them, also dressed in formal attire. He looked down at Xavie, who still refused to meet his eyes so he had to grab her shoulders to turn her around to face him.
He signed to her, leaving Tint to translate his words. “I will handle everything tonight.”
She frowns back at him in confusion. “Handle everything? What’s the plan?”
Fortunately, the driver’s presence rescued him from saying anything so he just gestures towards him, using his head. He could tell she had a lot of questions, questions he had no interest in answering.
He was about to leave when she held him back. “You have to tell me the plan Kian, we have to work together, right?”
He looked at Tint before signing his words to her. “We are going with your plan, you told me it’s the foundation right? So we are going with that until I can come up with one.”
She lets me go, letting out a sigh of relief. “Oh, I thought you came up with one already. Never mind then, my plan will buy us enough time.”
He lets her walk in front of him this time, he couldn’t trust her. He didn’t trust her, getting revenge on Alec meant more to him than anything else in the world and no one would screw that up for him!
KIAN He knew something was wrong immediately Wolf started to bark and act relentlessly, the last time he had been this way was when they found Xavie. I scoot in front of the dog, stroking its fur in an attempt to calm him down which usually works but this time it didn’t work for a couple of minutes. “Alpha Kian.” He looked up as his name was being called, letting his men handle Wolf for the time being, he stood up to approach the man who had called him. As they shook hands, he looked around the place for any sign of Alpha Thane. “We believe Alpha Thane is still on his way here, and where is your official translator?” The other man asked, while also looking at his side. He merely smirked and shrugged his shoulders, providing no explanation and even though he could, he didn’t want to. He wasn’t here to negotiate peace, he only came to give Alpha Thane a warning and to discontinue their peace treaty. To his disappointment, Alpha Thane's vehicle pulled up next to his. When he emer
XAVIEI appreciated Kian's absence more after he left. As it turned out, even though I have never hosted any event before, I really handled everything well, approved by both Drake and Tint. The guests had started to arrive but I was more interested in two particular guests I had invited, Alec and Annika. The two were among the last people to show up, knowing Annika, she had a knack for attention and the displeased expression that crossed her face as soon as she saw me, made me smile inwardly. Who did she think they were coming here to meet? Raising my dress a little, I approached them, keeping my face as emotionless as I could muster. “Lady Nyxia.” Alec reached for my hand, placing a kiss at the back of it. Once upon a time, I found that mouth pleasurable but now? The skin where his mouth touched made my skin crawl with disgust. Withdrawing my hand from his when he still lingered, what a shameless man! Annika was basically standing next to him, not that I feel sorry for her. She
KIAN The grand hall was the formal dining hall, where he wine and dine with the most important members of his pack, like the delta wolves, the council, his Beta when he had one. After Malia's death, any desire to socialize died with her, so he stopped coming to the dining hall until tonight…He walked into the room with Xavie attached to his side, having seen how repulsed she was with the idea of pretending to be in love with him, he couldn’t wait for dinner to be over so she wouldn’t have to suffer any more of his presence. Everyone in the room seemed to pause once they became aware of their presence. They stood up as a sign of respect and acknowledgement, he pulled out a chair for Xavie then went to settle down next to her. Once they were seated, everyone took their seat too, he could hear the hushed conversations being whispered but pretend not to. Tint came in after them, after greeting everyone on the table, she sat down, her eyes moving back and forth from me to Xavie and bac
XAVIE After flower picking with Hilda, I have been pacing round the private sitting area waiting for Kian to finish with his meetings so we can have a chat about Hilda’s concern. Something needs to be done before these rumours spun out of control, to be honest, it was already spinning out of control. But then it occurred to me that we have no way of communicating with each other without Tint and if she follows us around, people will just start other rumors like we have a third or something. I collapsed on the sofa, only to rise up a few seconds later as a very brilliant idea crossed my mind. I went into the bedroom, pulling out one of the drawers I’ve seen Kian take a journal out of. I found a small journal there, several if I was being honest. I took a pen from my dressing mirror table and went back to the sitting area to wait for him. With the journal, we won’t need Tint to follow us around translating his words to me when he could just write them down and pass it over for me to
KIANA message was brought to him just as he was about to leave his study, he sat back beyond his desk, tearing open the envelope. He glanced up briefly when a knock sounded on the door and Tint strolled into the room to take a seat. He held up a finger, telling her to wait while he read the content of the letter. It came from the higher council, they wanted him and Alpha Thane to have a peace negotiation which is too bad because he was really looking forward to snapping the man’s head from his thick neck on the battlefield. He pushed the letter under a journal, turning his attention back to Tint, he motioned for her to go ahead and say what she wanted. “Okay, I understand you don’t want me involved in your plans but Malia was my best friend, you can’t keep shutting me out when I can help.” She insisted, he almost forgot how stubborn Tint can be, after all she had been friends with his sister, who was as stubborn as they come. The thought of his sister made his chest tightened, a
XAVIE When Hilda had suggested flower picking, I thought it was something fun, like stopping to smell the roses or something. But instead I was helping her examine plants and picking some herbs. I didn’t complain though, I was in desperate need of some company so I quietly did the job she assigned me. I soon noticed her frequently glancing in my direction and thought at first maybe she was worried I wasn’t doing it right but then I realised she wasn’t looking at the herbs we were picking but at me. Even though she’s pretty much the only person that talks to me around here, Hilda was still a stranger to me. “Am I doing it wrong?” I asked, pausing in the act of picking another flower. She shook her head. “It seems to me like you and Alpha Kian are going out of your way to avoid each other, the servants are talking and once they start, be sure the entire pack is going to be aware of it too.” My eyes widened at her words as I grew nervous. “I’d like to think people have something bet
