Aria's POV

My heart pounded hard against my chest, my nerves were all over the place. The thing is today was for racing and I'm so nervous.

“Calm down, Ari. I'm right here with you.” Willow soothingly muttered at the back of my mind.

“Okay, thank you Willow.”

Kael held my hands in his as he accompanied me to the backstage for debriefing. He has made this his regular routine. It makes me feel so loved.

“We're here, babe.” Kael said, pausing abruptly, turning to face me.

“I didn't even notice that. My mind drifted afar.” A full blown smile on my lips.

“Are you okay? Don't lie to me.” He pulled my forehead against his, rubbing it gently. It calmed me down almost instantly.

“I'm so nervous babe, what if I don't perform. I got lucky the last time.”

He took a deep breath. “You will perform magnificently. Never compare yourself to anyone. You're good enough, and no matter what happens we will always be proud of you.”

I pecked his lips softly, his eyes widened in surprise.
