“What do you mean by that?”

I couldn’t believe what I just heard. I happily came back to work today after one week away. I happily walked to my workstation to continue my normal work only to find that I had been logged out of my work system.

Not just that but all my physical logs were gone from my table. I thought something happened while I was away. I thought they cleaned up and messed with my stuff and I went to the people responsible for cleaning and they told me they didn’t do anything.

Since I was early, I sat and waited for my work team to arrive only for them to stare at me as if they had seen a ghost and now, I was standing in front of my director. He just said the craziest thing ever.

“You have been pulled out of the research. You will be paid for all your work so far but that’s about it.”
