Third Person

Liora had waited for Kael till a quarter past eight when she fell asleep on the couch, and he still wasn’t back.

The girls had concluded they would depart the next day, but then they didn’t unpack or touch any of the already packed items.

Frank, who had been standing guard since noon, did step away to see the Alpha, and the other guards in the Queen’s wing had been removed after the morning scout. More men were needed at the borders, so a good number of them were sent over.

  • Rejected While Pregnant: The Masked Alpha's Luna Queen   Paid it forward

Third PersonThat was two days ago, and now Yella stepped out of her quarters for the first time since she came back from pleading. The surroundings had suddenly changed, or maybe they hadn't. It was still as beautiful as it used to be, but now it looked more like a beautiful cage. No one had brought anything, and the last she heard of Blackmoon was that her father stood trial for crimes he committed against the pack and his family. She was dressed in a blue dress that flowed with her steps, with little slippers that barely made any sound as she walked. The guards at the entrance didn't notice her; at least she wished they had, so they wouldn't have gone on chatting so freely."I heard the madam's father was executed for killing his wife and the late alpha and his family." Yella's steps halted, and her breath caught."Serves him right; a man who can marry off his daughter for favors deserves worse. I hope his death was brutal," the second guard asked, and Yella hated how her body anti

  • Rejected While Pregnant: The Masked Alpha's Luna Queen   Memories

Third PersonDays had gone by, and nothing came from Blackmoon. Yella Caswell had long stopped waiting; what was there to continue waiting for? Her mother was dead, her mate had only used her, and he had finally met his end. Did she hate Kael for killing him? Strangely, she didn't. It wasn't because she loved him; no, it was because now, sitting within a dark room with nowhere else to turn to, she finally understood.Held within Leonard's estate, Yella ate so little her stomach couldn't take much. Her pregnancy was only beginning to act up now, and every morning she woke up to fresh melon. Moreen had asked too many times where it came from, but Yella said nothing. It had to be from Karine, but since she wouldn't allow herself to be acknowledged, Yella dared not say a word. The back courtyard was quiet, unlike the front courtyard. Two days ago, Fredrick Leonard and his men had received an urgent call from one of his factories. He had nearly dismissed it, but Bernard had insisted on tak

  • Rejected While Pregnant: The Masked Alpha's Luna Queen   The last Enigma

Third PersonA rare peace settled over Blackmoon that night. The alpha and his delegation sat around a round table, with Kael at the top, a glass of red wine before them, accompanied by nothing but fruit. The storm wasn't over but had only settled. All through the night, he didn't leave his wife's side. The living area was converted into a boardroom, files, evidence, and everything related to the ongoing cases and past unsolved cases were all brought into the room. Liora woke up briefly to eat, Kael fed her, and only after she went back to sleep did he leave and resume reading the files. Then his hand fell on a black file.Twenty years... and his nightmares could finally see the light of day.Emade was up and joined by Everest, Helene, Bianca, and Nora, who took turns checking on the little heir, while his father wouldn't let anyone else carry him the moment he woke up. As Kael's fingers brushed against the old black file, his eyes burned, his jaw clenched, and slowly he picked it up.

Third PersonThe words hung over three men, a sleeping woman, and a baby who looked at his father like nothing else mattered. The vampire bloodline had always been rare, and marrying out of their cycle was even rarer, but nothing like this had ever happened. Kael's bloodline could be proven without blinking. He was not only an alpha of Blackmoon but also an enigma. The mix couldn't come from his blood, yet the baby before him had to be his. Oman dared not think of the possibility of the young heir being another's son. The child was a replica of the man carrying him, from their smile to their frown; such a resemblance couldn't be mistaken. Moreover, he had cried in his aunt's arms and wiggled restlessly in the healer's, but now he lay in his father's arms as if it were the most comfortable place his tiny body had ever felt.Kael's gaze remained fixed on his child. Little Elior's lips were slightly parted, and his mismatched eyes stared upward, as though he could understand every word

Third PersonThe room had yet to recover from the cries of the newly arrived heir. Helene quickly cleaned the baby while Bianca and Nora busied themselves cleaning the room. Liora was still a little out of it, her vision seeming to stare in one direction, looking into eyes she had longed for too much."Kael..." she whispered, her hand reaching for his cheek.Kael quickly held her hand, resting his jaw in it with ease. "I'm here," he whispered, his voice hoarse, almost cracking. "I thought I would lose you," he said, a tear rolling down the cheek resting in Liora's arms, and her body stiffened."You came." Her voice was barely above a whisper, carrying everything she had held on to for days: the pain and hope, then the fear of him coming home to no cry of the heir who had long chosen him before her. She knew her baby loved his father most and wasn't jealous. He had recognized him long before she was still guessing his identity. She'd listened to him kick more times at the echo of his v

  • Rejected While Pregnant: The Masked Alpha's Luna Queen   For You, I Will Always Come

Third PersonHelene suddenly froze, her hands trembling against Liora's stomach. "Luna... Luna," she called, her voice trembling with every sound. Everyone noticed. Emade quickly abandoned a basin of warm water and rushed to Liora's side. Her trembling wet hands quickly grabbed Liora's, and for a moment everyone held their breath."Helene," Emade cried, but before she could say more, Liora's hand twitched within hers, then her pale lips pulled into a tired smile."What's wrong, Emade?" she asked. Tears streamed down Emade's eyes, uncontrolled. Emade shook her head hastily, wiping her eyes."Don't scare me like that... don't scare me."Liora nodded. Her other hand reached for Emade's wet cheeks as she leaned down, letting her clean some of the tears. "I'm waiting for your brother. We are waiting." Her eyes fell to her stomach. "We won't go anywhere, not until he comes."Emade nodded, but she dared not leave Liora's side. "Please, Helene, she must be okay," she pleaded. Everyone wanted
