Chapter 57

Ruby's POV

The rush of freedom coursed through my veins as we emerged from the pit, the cool night air hitting our faces. We weren't entirely out of danger yet; some were still caught inside the hole, struggling to escape. Panic rippled through the group as shouts echoed from behind us.

"They've found us! We need to move!" Vincent's urgent words spurred us into action.

"We can't leave them behind!" I cried, my heart torn between fleeing and helping the others.

"We have to keep moving. We can't risk everyone getting caught," Vincent said, his voice firm with determination.

As we sprinted through the woods, I could hear the guards closing in, their shouts growing louder. Fear gripped my heart, urging me to run faster. Vincent urged me to shift into my wolf form, but I hesitated.

"I can't run like this," I protested, frustrated with my limitations.
