I stood there, frozen in the spot, my heart racing in my chest. Who could she be? The pull of my mate was so strong.

As if on autopilot, I began to move through the crowd, my feet following an unknown path as if guided by some unseen force.

As I made my way through the crowd, I felt my heart beating faster and faster, the pull of my mate growing stronger with every step.

And then, suddenly, I saw her. She was beautiful, with long, dark hair that cascaded down her back, and eyes as blue as the deepest ocean.

She was dressed in a simple white dress that seemed to glow in the dim light of the hall. Our eyes met across the room, and we kept on walking to each other.

“Hello.” She said softly. “I’m Jessica.” She stretched out her hands and I took them.

“Aiden. I’m Aiden.” Her lips curled into a gentle smile. “It’s a pleasure to meet you,” I added.

My mind raced back to Noah. I had promised her I was going to reject my mate for her but it was going to be harder than I thought
