“Sweetheart, you don’t have to tell me if you don’t feel like it. We’ll take things slowly.” Ace wiped the tear that fell from her pitiful eye. She felt scared to tell him anything about herself. But he needed to know who the person he was living with was. So she took a long breath and decided to give it a shot. If he rejects her even then, she won’t pester him to keep her. She’ll leave and go wherever the hell she was written to be. She was done begging to be loved and treated like a human being.

And so she told him everything that he needed to know—not leaving anything out. And when she was done, his eyes shone with rage. He got up and started to pace before her. “Those people didn’t deserve you, Minsi. Bunch of pieces of shit!” He kicked the table, and its leg broke instantly. Minsi’s body jerked at the action.

“Anyone who thinks you are unworthy because of your body size must be too blind to see just how beautiful you are. I hate that they fed you that nonsense since you were young. That this whole time you were living with that pain. Fuck!” He tugged his hair. Anger oozes off his body.

“I used to hate Duke Wolfhart, but now I loathe him. How dare he treat you like that? I wish to strangle him to death, Minsi. Every person who wronged you.” He growled.

This whole time, Minsi was silently tearing up as he paced around in rage. His words were like the cure she never thought she would find. It was soothing and mending something inside her. Something that was utterly shattered. Ace didn’t care about her size at all. He didn’t see her as different from any other woman. He was angry that those people did that to her instead. He was angry for the life she lived. Her heart rejoiced after years of enduring a lot of bad things. What have I done in life to deserve him? She thought, her lower lip trembling and her eyes burning with so much heat.

She couldn’t help but cover her face and began to sob, audibly. “Oh no, sweetheart. They don’t even deserve your tears at all.” He sat beside her again and took her in his arms. Minsi buried her face on his neck and cried. He patted her back gently, “I’m sorry, sweetheart. Sorry for everything that happened to you. But you know what? I’m glad that I found you.” He uttered, kissing her head.

He had no idea how grateful she was that he found her. Minsi was eternally grateful to the Moon Goddess for sending this man into her life. “Go ahead and cry all you want. Let it all out today. But promise me that this will be the last. Promise me that you will never cry over this again. Do you promise, sweetheart?” He asked, and she nodded against his neck.

She cried and cried while holding her and told me how worthy she was. That her body should never be the reason for her to feel uncomfortable around anyone. He said he preferred women like her because he would probably break a woman smaller than her. She couldn’t help but laugh at his joke. Ace cupped her face and made her face him. “You are perfect just the way you are, sweetheart. And you were made specifically for me. And I’m fine with you, so forget about everybody else. From now on, I need you to live your life like a normal person and never degrade yourself. Okay?”

“Okay,” She nodded.     

“Can you do that for me, sweetheart?”

“Yeah.”

He leaned down and kissed her cheeks, making them burn with heat. “I’m happy that you are mine.” He uttered, and she sighed, resting her head on his shoulder. She felt the most peaceful, like she had never felt before. Was it possible to like someone in a day? She thought to herself
