THE SECRETS MY SISTER SPILLED

“Because she came alone”, Magnus hesitated at first, before he finally muttered. He paused to look outside the window for the hundredth time, before he continued “if she truly came here to protect you, she would have brought a lot of evidences instead of threatening you if she’s not permitted to come inside here”.

I lowered my eyes towards the floor, because I knew that there’s a point in what he just said. Regardless of that, something inside me refused to allow me ignore her.

“But she has an Information concerning my mother, so I need to speak to her please”, I muttered calmly while I curled my fingers into my dress.

Magnus expression became so cold, and he clenched his fingers tight by the window pane.

“I heard the message she sent clearly”, he responded in a mean tone.

I walked around in circles restlessly, while several thoughts ran through my mind before I said “fine, explain to me what she knows”.

He stared at me for a few minutes, carefully studying all my reactions and he noticed how reckless I was, then he gave a simple order to the warrior.

“Allow her to come in, but you have to search her first. Get rid of any weapon you find her with and ensure to keep twenty warriors around her”, He instructed calmly.

“Yes, my Alpha”, Karl bowed respectfully and hurried towards the gate.

Magnus turned towards me, his expression became so cold and he whispered, “you’ll stay beside me”.

I exhale before responding, “no, I can protect myself”.

Magnus lowered his eyes towards my wrist, before he said “yes I know that, but you don’t know how to control your power yet”.

I lowered my gaze slightly to the ground, because he was right and I curled my fingers into the hem of my dress.

“Magnus is right, because I remembered the silver energy that exploded from my body. I’ve always believed that I’m a weak omega for years, but now, I’m already scared that I might be dangerous” I thought to myself.

The fortress gates opened slowly and Seraphina walked in with her dress covered with thick dust. There were several strands of blonde hair that escape from the hood she wore on her head.

She looked tired but she still breathtaking. She raised her head up and she me standing beside Magnus. I noticed the expression on her face, it became so cold and irritable.

“Alpha Magnus”, she snapped but he didn’t even give any response at first.

“Seraphina?” He called her too in response after a few seconds of staring at her.

Her gaze slowly shifted to me and for a few seconds, we didn’t even identify ourselves as sisters.

Suddenly, I felt a strange tightness on my chest and my throat.

“Little sister “, Seraphina faked a smile while she called me.

My chest tightened the more the moment she uttered those two words, because she had said it countless times but she never meant it sincerely.

“What did you come here for?” I demanded rudely.

She exhaled and chuckled softly, “I came to warn you as a good sister that I am”.

I shook my head slowly while my eyes scanned through her body instinctively, because I knew she was pretending.

“Okay?” I paused to look at Magnus before my gaze returned to her and I continued, “about what?” I asked calmly.

“The king”, the soft expression she had on vanished instantly, while her gaze was fixed on Magnus.

My heart started racing fast and it slammed violently against my chest.

“What about him?” Magnus inquired firmly.

She smiled before she began to explain, “he knows about Lyra, the silver light, the healing, and most importantly, he knows that her seal is slowly breaking”.

My stomach dropped instantly and I pressed my palm over my mouth. Magnus turned to look at me slowly and he shook his head slowly while his expression darkened.

“How did he know about it?” Magnus demanded lividly.

Seraphina looked away and her gaze shifted towards the gate, then she responded in a very audible voice “I was the one who told him”.

My eyes widened immediately and just then, I remembered what Magnus said about her coming here. The whole courtyard fell completely silent and I lowered my head to the floor.

Anger and hatred flowed through my mind and I slowly raised my head to stare at her in disbelief.

“You had the guts to tell him? And you came here pretending like you mean well for me when you clearly want every possible means to eliminate me” I snapped furiously.

“You need to calm down Lyra, I had no choice than to tell him” she answered.

“Oh really? You always have a choice before you do anything crazy, and I knew your coming here wasn't for any good” I yelled.

Her expression became cold and she started speaking, “ do you think I really wanted this? Or I enjoyed watching our parents treating you like trash?”

“As a matter of fact, you really enjoyed it”, I growled.

For the first time I saw regret and guilt flicker across her face just for a second. Her lips trembled and she curled her fingers into her dress, then she muttered weakly “do you know how guilty I felt?”

I let out a dry and bitter laughter, before I said “you didn't look guilty when Rowan rejected me publicly to chose you”.

“That's because I loved him and I wanted to be the queen”, she inhaled before responding.

My heart shattered into pieces and I began to feel strange pains in my chest so I lowered my head slowly. For the first time, Seraphina said the truth and her words repeatedly echoed in my mind.

“But I know what father did to you”, she added.

My chest ache the more and I slowly raised my head to look at her because I was too stunned to utter a word.

Magnus eyes widened instinctively and he asked, “what did he do?”

“He was the one who gave the order that your wolf should be sealed” she muttered.

“What?” I raised my head immediately and gasped.

I stumbled backwards but Magnus grabbed me immediately. “That's not possible”, I whispered.

She continued explaining, “it all started when you were six years old, you fell sick after the silver moon festival and everyone thought you were dying, but were not sick instead you wolf was awakening”.

Seraphina paused to look at the reaction on Magnus face, before she continued talking “father rushed to call a royal healer to perform a forbidden ritual”. She lowered her voice, “the healer sealed your wolf”.

My body became numb instantly, and for a second, I couldn't feel myself.

“Why?” I asked with tremor in my voice.

She exhaled deeply, then she turned towards me to say “because he was scared of the royal prophecy”.

Magnus snapped out of his thoughts immediately, and his expression became stone-cold while he inquired “what prophecy?”

She hesitated the moment she turned to look at everyone I'm the courtyard, then she suddenly muttered “the silver wolf queen”.

My legs began shaking tremendously and I said weakly, “tell me about everything”.

Seraphina began looking suspicious the moment she glanced around again, “I can't say it here”.

“No, you'll speak here”, Magnus pressed aggressively.

“That's unless you want the king’s soldiers here before you understand what's going on”, she whispered.

Magnus clenched his jaw tightly, “then let them come here”.

Seraphina flinch for the first time, then she started explaining immediately “the prophecy said that the silver old will emerge from the forgotten bloodline, and she'll have the power to make the packs united”.

She cleared her throat and continued, “but if she's betrayed, she'll destroy the throne”.

I stared at her in disbelief and I managed to probe, “so the king was afraid of me that's why I was treated like an omega?”

“Yes”, she nodded swiftly.

She continued to state, “your wolf was sealed, your strength disappeared, your scent became very weak, and everyone thought you were nothing”.

My eyes welled up with burning tears, and several memories lingered on my mind.

For years, I endured all the insults and punishment. Every time, I pondered on the reason I'm always treated differently compared to my sister.

I clenched my fist and jaw firmly, “so why did you keep this away from me this whole time?”
