As I navigated the dimly lit hallway on my way to the girls' locker, doubts and insecurities gnawed at me. My palms were clammy, and my heart raced with each step. What was I thinking? The words of my brother lingered in my mind, echoing like a haunting refrain. Still, I pressed on, a sense of determination propelling me forward.

The girls' locker came into view, and I hesitated before gathering the courage to slip the letter inside Celeste's designated space.

The weight of my actions settled on my shoulders as I retraced my steps to my room. The night stretched before me, filled with uncertainty and the potential for change. As I lay in bed, the anticipation of what tomorrow might bring mingled with the fear of the unknown, leaving me caught in the delicate dance between courage and hesitation.
