"A-About that..." Lany doesn't know how to answer Chadrick. She had a feeling that she already got caught and he asked her to confirm it. She’s afraid of what will happen to her if she admits that she met with Dylan and followed Jeric as he told her to.

"Why, Ms. Barnes? Are you hiding something from us, that's why you can't speak properly?" Chadrick continued when he noticed that Lany was struggling to speak.

Lany was slightly surprised when Chadrick spoke again.

"I-I followed Alpha Jeric t-to know what he's doing." Lany was eventually able to speak, although she was still nervous and embarrassed. "I-I just wanted to help, if ever I could."
