Nora's POV

“Honey, which of the halls in Holland Hotel do you think would be better for Bella's birthday celebration?” I yelled at the top of my lungs, hoping that Rufus would hear me from where the bathroom was.

“The hall downstairs, it's more spacious” Rufus replied from the shower, making me grin

I can't wait for Thursday. It's my best friend's birthday, and I am more excited about it than the celebrant herself. She will be so shocked when she finds out. 

Bella had said she didn't plan on celebrating her birthday this year because what is it celebrating the big 27 when you're single and searching? That girl's crazy, I tell you. 

She is just so selective, I've set her on blind dates over and over again, but not one is she interested in. She always has a reason not to like them. Anyway, I have invited some more eligible bachelors for her birthday. It has to be a birthday to remember.

“How's is going?” Rufus asked immediately he came out of the bathroom. He stood behind me as he watched me send some emails to people inviting them to the birthday celebration.

I worked on my laptop swiftly for a while before turning it off. I stood to my feet before wrapping my arms around my husband, 

“It's going too well, I have a strong feeling Bella would cry” 

He chuckled, “That's why we are doing all these right?” He asked, and I nodded with a chuckle as well.

“I don't why I feel so good about her birthday this year. I can't wait for Thursday” I said to my husband who quickly retorted,

“You'll have to wait because I have a big contract to catch on Thursday morning. I am so nervous about it, it's with the Chinese, and it's a big one, think you can help?” 

My mouth formed an 'O', I remember Rufus telling me about it last week, but I've been too busy running here and there for my friend's birthday that I had forgotten my own husband's business

“Of course, I'll help you. Can I see what you gat?” I asked, and his hands on my waist tightened before he placed a light kiss on my lips.

Letting go of me, he went to get his laptop and gave it to me

“File D” he informed, and I nodded before going to sit on the chair I just stood up from. Pushing my laptop to the side, I opened his. 

I'm Nora Williams, who graduated with a first class from one of the best universities in New York. But what was the use of going to work when I have a filthy rich husband who loves me so much and would do anything for me? 

When I told him I didn't feel like working, he didn't object to it at all. Well, as long as I could use my knowledge to help our source of income from time to time, then we are good.

So, here I am, the spoilt wife who only shops, and goes on vacations with my best friend, Bella, and then also plans my best friend's birthday. My sweetheart Rufus never complained. Don't you just love him?

An hour later and I was done with the contract, 

“Here, you'll get the contract with the Chinese,” I told him, and he picked me up and twirled me, making me chuckle loudly. 

“Thank you, honey, I love you” he kissed me on my forehead then my cheeks before claiming my lips with his.

As if I've been so hungry for him, I reciprocated almost immediately. 

The kiss was getting intense already and knew if we continued like this, we might not eat dinner, so I struggled to break the kiss, 

“Sweety, let's eat dinner first,” I tried to reason with him, but he attacked my neck, making me sigh.

Damn! I wonder how he does it so well, making me see stars by just nipping my skin.

“Who said this isn't dinner?” He asked, his breathing slapping my skin, and I chuckled. 

He flipped me over, making me turn to face the wall, and his hands crossed my side to squeeze my breasts. 

“Rufus, you know if we continue like this, we won't eat dinner, right?” I struggled to say, and I felt his smirk, but he was too busy placing light kisses on my neck. I blindly tinted my head to the side, giving him more access. 

“How about after dinner, then we continue?” I pushed him away gently. Yes, I wanted to have sex with him too, but my stomach was screaming for food. 

He gave the puppy eyes, making me sigh, I reached to him,

“After dinner” I placed a kiss on his lips quickly, but he held me tightly, 

“What if this is the moment, of sex that would create the child we've been searching for years now” 

I giggled as I raised my hands to caress his jaw, 

“You said this line too much, Rufus” 

“But I'm serious. We should always do this every day, everywhere, and every time until a baby comes” 

“Yeah, yeah, I agree with you” I replied as I rolled my eyes at him. Rufus was searching for a way to have sex with me already. 

“Come on, Nora. I'm serious. The doctor said it the last time we went to visit the hospital, right?” He asked and I sighed. 

“What the doctor said is not to give up and keep trying” I explained and he grinned 

“It's the same thing,” he said and covered his lips with mine. 

Rufus and I have been searching for a child for two years now. So, we go to see doctors and do all the necessary things we need to do to get a child. 

Rufus, my husband, doesn't give up hope. He is always supportive of me, and never in my life have I met a man as sweet as Rufus. He is always so positive, like right now. 

I still don't know what I did to deserve such a man.
