LOGINHelena was speechless and mind-blown by the sudden opinion of Louis, which she didn’t expect he would give an answer about.
She had never thought that Louis would say it like they were both planning things when the truth is, they weren’t even trying to know each other yet, and that’s what Helena knows.
But then, she just tried to think of it as spur-of-the-moment, like Louis doesn’t really mean it by heart. He only said it to answer their curiosity and to stop them from talking about it anymore.
They continued talking about the relationship of Helena and Louis, and she could feel the pressure while she was continuously being asked about them.
“Where are you planning to hold the wedding? I’m pretty sure it would be grand knowing that it’s an Asher and a Montville union,” they teased.
Helena gave them a smile as she tried to make it seem that she was also enjoying the topic when, at the back of her mind, she was already roaring to stop them at least from putting them into the spotlight.
“Any plans? Miss soon-to-be Montville,” one of the women looked at Helena.
She could barely concentrate on her own food because of the questions, which she would also gladly answer out of respect.
“Oh, I don’t really know yet, but…I want a garden wedding,” she shared her thoughts.
It was actually her dream to get married in the garden filled with flowers where they would attract butterflies. It was so enchanting to her that she wanted to marry soon and experience the garden wedding she dreamed about.
Louis looked at her again, but his expression was just too unreadable that Helena couldn’t point out what it was.
“Imagine a big theme garden. It would probably be one of the nicest weddings to be held in the town. It would be a great scoop for everyone for sure.”
“Yeah. For sure. Knowing that the Ashers is quite a heavy name that has an image as well, it would be a bomb to be a partner of the Montvilles.”
Helena kept on smiling throughout the topic, and she couldn’t even continue eating because of it. If Louis didn’t open up a serious topic, she might probably still be smiling and without even touching her food.
Somehow, the burden she felt is slowly subsiding. She was guilty that she embarrassed Louis, but Louis looked like he didn’t really care at all. It is what it is.
After the business meeting, they were taking photos and talking about things, so they decided to just go home.
Helena was just silent while they were on the trip. She was still thinking about what Louis really said about how he agreed with Helena to have kids.
“I apologized for what happened earlier,” Helena said as soon as they were on their way home, and she was really affected by what happened.
“I didn’t mean to actually ruin the night for you,” Helena added in her apology while they were both at the back.
They were only got by the chauffeur, and Helena opened up about what happened again. She knows that it bothered Louis, and he was embarrassed for the clumsiness of Helena, and he wasn’t just talking about it.
“Don’t mind it anymore. Aren’t I the one asking you since your dress was ruined? Women lose their mood when their dresses don’t look good on them anymore because of a stain.”
She immediately shook her head. “No. I actually love my dress, but I am thinking about your reaction since you seemed like you wanted a perfect night for yourself.”
“It’s okay, as long as you will be careful next time and avoid those things. I didn’t know what happened earlier, but it caught my attention that you were panicking.”
“I’m not used to being in parties as of the moment since I am still trying to regain some of my memories, but I actually don’t mind those kinds of parties.”
“What kind of parties do you like?” Louis asked.
“Well, those… uh, big ones where you could dance with the others. Parties like that. I think it’s great since it is my dream to wear a big dress and just be danced by someone.”
Louis was listening, and he could not help but look at Louis every time she would talk about things that he seemed too familiar with.
Helena could still not recall Helena’s own memories, but she knows from her own memories that she never experienced big parties where dancing existed. She was just too isolated that the normal things weren’t normal in her eyes because she had never experienced it.
“You don’t know how to ride a horse?” Louis asked.
Helena is a bit embarrassed that she is being questioned by it. Knowing that she is an Asher and it is normal for the Ashers about riding horses, but she was just trying to cover her ass by thinking that it was because she completely forgot her past life.
“I know. But not as an expert,” she admitted, as she was also looking at the front while her friends were already making jokes about how Helena was having a date with Louis in the restaurant.
“You didn’t tell me first. You should have told me first until we avoided it,” Louis said.
She nodded, and she understood his own mistakes.
“I’m sorry. Next time I’ll be better, and I will be responsible even more.”
“Don’t feel sorry about it. It’s not a big deal. It’s just that you should be more open to me with the things that you don’t really want to avoid those kinds of things…”
She nodded again and smiled a little, her hands pinching her fingers while they were on the way home.
She wants to make him shut up from talking about it, but Louis is eager to talk to her, and she cannot stop blabbering about it until Helena realizes that she is the kind of woman who doesn’t really fit Louis’ personality.
Now, she is wondering what kind of woman Louis likes because it seems like it is too rare for him to like someone. It is what she is curious about.
“Know the Montville, Helena. We need them and their connection, so you must do good to please them.” She heard how her mother pleaded to her to give the Montville the extra kindness just to please them.
But despite how Louis seemed so heartless and someone you cannot tame so easily, Helena quite saw some of his other side that made her a bit surprised he was like that.
Because it was just their topic that night, and when morning came, Helena was already summoned into the estate again, but this time, they were going to ride a horse using only one horse.
Helena gasped, and her eyes widened. She cannot imagine herself sharing a horse with Louis! It’s making her blush profusely.
“I will teach you how to ride it and to tame it so you won’t be able to experience what happened to you last time,” Louis said, which made her speechless.
She still has a small amount of fear of riding the horse again, but she wanted to conquer it and she wanted to also learn new things. She didn’t expect that Louis would teach her things, knowing he was busy and she seemed like a burden to him, but unexpectedly, Louis seemed determined to teach her.
She sat first and gave Louis a space on her back, which made her blush just by thinking that she would feel him in her back. Although she wanted to keep it to herself, to control herself from smiling and from feeling a little bit happy, it just showed that Louis had an effect on her she couldn’t seem to contain.
He started telling her the basic thing to do to tame a horse while riding it. She was listening carefully, making sure that she was paying attention to every word Louis would tell her, and she would focus on it.
The horse was just walking calmly while it was Helena who held the ropes and controlled its emotion. She was afraid that one wrong move and the horse would go hysterical, but she is so thankful that Louis is really patient in teaching her things.
After riding the horse, Louis lets her ride it alone, which seems a bit effective because she can now control the horse. She was proud of herself, and she even giggled proudly.
“That’s how you should tame a horse. Make it feel like it could trust you instead of being anxious because the horse would feel it and it would just leave you behind or it would panic,” Louis said while Helena learned how to slowly master taming it.
She nodded and smiled. “Thank you, Louis.”
Louis looked at her for a while, his brows knitting, but it immediately went back to normal.
She continued to learn how to ride a horse, and every time she would ride it, she would make sure that she would add some speed until she already found herself making a horse run for its life while she wasn’t that anxious anymore. She was so proud that her lips kept on stretching while her mind was so satisfied knowing that she was really molding her new life better than who she was in the past, and she is so proud of herself.
“That’s good. You seem like you learned things so easily. Keep it up, Helena,” Louis complimented which made her blush.
As soon as the girls heard that Alpha Louis had visited, they immediately grinned at Helena, stood up as soon as the teacher went out to talk to him, and started shaking her.“He is here! Oh my god? What could be the possible reason for that?” The girls asked as they crowded her, pulling the other chairs to sit in front of her.The other students were only looking at them for being so chaotic, but at the same time they found it cute that Helena was getting friends. They were all respecting her, and they found her very pretty as well.“He is probably here for another reason?” She reasoned, but the girls hyped her up even more.“Of course not, Helena! Think about it thoroughly. You said that he has always been busy, and yet, now that you were here and he could freely do everything without worrying about you coming home for dinner, here he is, visiting you so early!” Alice hissed, like all of those she is calculating in her head make sense.“Helena, he is now starting to show signals! Th
Helena had so much fun with the pottery that she could already picture out her days in the camp with her newfound friend. She wants to be with them. It was so new to her, and she couldn’t believe that socializing would bring her so much joy. When her first night was slowly approaching, during dinner, the girls went into her room to take the food the cook had cooked for her. She was so delighted that she was treated so well that she invited them to eat with her.“Wow. I didn’t know that there was food that tasted like this. It’s so delicious,” Alice pointed out while they were all squatting at a round table in front of the fireplace, while the snow could be seen pouring through the window. They were wearing ordinary clothes, while it was only Helena who was wearing sweaters.“Is Alpha Louis fine if you will be here for how many days?” Rina asked while shoving food in her mouth.Helena nodded. “I think so. Besides, he is also busy, and he only comes home at night so we can eat dinner to
On the first day that Helena was in the camp, she gained friends right away, like it wasn’t easy to socialize since everyone knows her for being not just an Asher but also as Alpha Louis’ mate.“I’m really shocked. This is the first time he brought a woman here. We thought you were the one whom he was talking about, but maybe he really fell for you to change his mind and introduce you to us instead,” Mica said, also a wolf.“I think he isn’t in love with me. We just have the same reason why we accepted the arrangement since I wanted to help our family and he wanted to grant his grandpa’s wish, which he said,” she explained since she doesn’t want to make too much fuss about it.“Oh! But maybe, later on, you two would develop feelings. It really happens in arrangements, and soon enough, you two might just accept each other.”Helena couldn’t smile. She doesn’t know how to respond to it since her goal is just to get the justice she deserves.“But isn’t it easy to just fall in love with Al
Helena didn’t expect Louis to say those words like he was already accepting her in his house, and he was now slowly getting used to her presence that he didn’t mind her noise. But knowing that Louis was barely in the mansion, she could not do anything there, unlike in the camp, that would help her a lot of things. She was planning for 3 nights at least to experience what it is like to live there, since it wasn’t just built for identifying what classification you are, but it was also for socializing more. She wanted to make friends and slowly build her own battalion. It was what was circulating around her mind, knowing that her past self was so caged and isolated because the people around her made her feel like they were enough in her life and she didn’t need anyone anymore. But that was what she regretted the most—that she let them cage her. She lets them control her life and she always agrees with them because she believes in them, she trusts them, and that’s her greatest mistake. No
It was the best day ever for Helena, and she felt like she had found a new hope in the middle of the darkness. Although she had no idea what kind of practices she would be able to go through during her stay at the camp, she was bracing for a positive outcome out of it and promised herself she would do great.“I am Bruno. I will be your personal teacher while you are in the camp,” the tan-skinned man with jet-black hair said gently with a sweet smile on his lips.Helena somehow remembered Darren because of his smile and gentleness. She was clearly uncomfortable, and she wanted to ask Louis if he could assign a woman to her instead, but she didn’t want to cause more burden and make Bruno feel like she was disgusted by him.It was just her past heavily intruding that she couldn’t help but feel a little bit uncomfortable. But she was just too desperate to learn that she is willing to adapt to new things, even if it is out of her fear.“In the camp, we are actually classified into three. T
Ingrid’s jaw dropped from what Louis just said. It was so rude from her perspective that she felt she was humiliated in front of him, and the only thing that could save her dignity at that time was to actually go home. She did not expect Louis to suddenly act like that. Although she had heard how foully Louis treats women whom he has no interest in, her ego just couldn’t accept the fact that she was one of those girls he had rudely treated. She could clearly see how hard it is to tame Louis that she just goes home for a while and leaves her sister to Louis, but at the back of her mind, she doesn’t really care about Helena. It was just her act to pretend that she cared, but she didn’t. Not even a bit.She was cursing Helena instead, blaming her for the misfortune she was getting the moment Helena woke up from her coma. It was like she had brought her bad luck that things weren’t going according to what Ingrid planned or wanted.Meanwhile, Helena was already starting to calm down as soo
