The entire members were packed in the packhouse to join in the celebration. Amusing isn't it? I didn't think a welcome party was supposed to accommodate the entire members of the pack, though they aren't so much since we were just an upcoming pack. I casually expected just a number of workers from the packhouse to be present.

My anxiety doubles in length as Helene leads me to the center. She pats my back warmly before leaving to join the crowd.

°° HÉCTOR °°I stop dead on my track, just as shocked as the wolf girl… Xendaya. The fear behind my mother's shock got me more worried. She seems to know who the wolf girl is, or she's just plainly drunk?“M–me?’’ Xendaya pokes her chest, equally as confused. My mother's eyes darken, and they turn to me instead. “What in the world is this all about?’’Holy fuck! What else is it supposed to be about other than what I called here for? Or rather what she ‘insisted’ on coming here for. Forcing my cheeks to form a strained smile, I hold Xendaya gently by the shoulders. “Shall we step out for a moment?’’She nods, taking one last glance at my mother that suggested a million thoughts ran through her head. She follows my lead out of the room, up the stairs to the passage way. I apologise to her for what happened back down there and assure her my mother was drunk. I let her know she could see her some other time when she's sober and in a better condition; that must be after my mother has p

She pats my back warmly before leaving to join the crowd. ‘It's here.’ Lea says, referring to the moment our mate appears. She's skidding restlessly in my head, and I'm forced to ask her if she can smell our mate already. ‘Not yet. Maybe he's not out yet?’Just as I almost respond to that, a warm palm grazes my arm from behind. When I look up, it's him. My mate, looking dashingly different from when I saw him the last time. He's effortlessly 6 '3, which isn't quite a surprise for me since his towering build was typically my first impression of him. But I probably didn't take time to as

°° AZALEA °° I clear my throat as the nurse lady pulls the cheek swab from my mouth. She drops it into a glass and turns to me with a smile that maybe I didn't need to but I find it creepy as hell. Well… she didn't mean any harm. She introduces herself as ‘Helene’ the pack doctor…. something I think would've been more appropriate to do the first time she came in earlier, not after taking everything she needs from me and is about leaving. She also apologises for our crazy first encounter, pointing out that she didn't realize back then that I had suffered amnesia and couldn't recognise her as the pack's doctor who I used to know. Fair enough… She has a point there. According to her, the Alpha, Héctor, had been drunk. But even in his drunkenness, he could figure out my failure to recognise him and that got him startled, running to her for answers. I can't completely recall the details of our first conversation anymore but I can still remember just how creepy it felt. Great! First adv

Chapter 11°° KLEIN °°“Where is my omega?” I ask once he comes on the line. “I heard you had to rush to the hospital.’’ Saxon says instead, sounding worried. That forces a breath from me, and I instinctively turn to the direction of my father's ward. “Father had a complication again, but it's been resolved now. It's nothing to worry about.’’ I begin walking to the VVIP section. “The Luna is worried sick. She was on her way to join you when we returned, says you wouldn't take their calls.’’ “Just tell her father fine, and she doesn't have to worry.’’ I almost cut in. “Did you return with my mate, where is she right now?’’“We… We couldn't find her today. However, we found a trace.’’ Saxon quickly adds. “What trace?’’ I squeeze my fist. Whatever that trace is, it had better be completely worth it. “We are not sure if it's hers yet. I'm hoping we would find any piece left of her in the basement to conduct a DNA test.’’ “What did you find?’’ I stop on my tracks. Saxon hesitate

Chapter 10°° KLEIN °°I snatch my phone at the first buzz without bothering to check the caller. “Did you find her?’’ “Uh.. greetings Alpha, this is the hospital. His honour Graham has experienced some complications, I'm afraid your presence is urgent.’’ A female voice filters through in panic. “What?’’ I swallow hard, panicking myself. Not entirely because of the news, but because I've just prepared to go and coordinate the search for my omega mate who has been missing for three days now. I clench my fist. “How bad is it?’’“We have it under control for now, but things can get really worse if we don't take important procedures which requires your presence.’’ She explains. I end the call, squeezing the phone in my palm. Why does it have to be now of all times? I was…“Is there a problem?’’ Aurelia's natural citrus scent fills my nose with her fragile arms sliding around my stomach from behind.I swallow hard as she rests her head against my back, drawing a sharp breath as I say.

Chapter 9°° HÉCTOR °°I blow out a breath as I walk out of the clinic. Helene and Gustavo are outside waiting, they immediately turn to me. “How did it go?’’ Helene asks first, fondling her stethoscope nervously. “The shots weren't effective. She could still recall my indifference towards her yesterday.” I snap, hating to even think about how I nearly got busted back there. Helene hesitates. “She isn't supposed to be up already right now, but her wolf. Healers are never easy targets, I'm afraid it might be a hassle for us to handle her.’’ This time I choose to ignore her. She obviously won't stop complaining like this until I decide to back off from my intention of keeping the crystal moon wolf for our pack. “Prepare something for her to eat. Make sure she has no allergies and provide her with the right nutritional diet. We can't have her failing in health if we'll be needing her wolf’s strength right?’’ I say instead. “Yes, Alpha.’’ Helene bows skeptically, leaving for it. Gu
