Chapter 42

"Did we use protection?" That was the first question that came out of my mouth after a long silence that enveloped me and Caesar.

Caesar, who was staring at me and was about to say something after grabbing my hand and calling out my name, was dumbfounded after I dropped that question.

His eyes widened, and his mouth was hanging. He has a look of disbelief on his face.

“What?” He asked after a few moments of being speechless.

“I'm asking you if we used protection last night.” I repeated my question.

Honestly, I don't know why, out of everything I could say, I ended up dropping that question. I could have asked him to let go of my hand or that we should forget whatever happened between us, but instead, I ended up asking him whether we used protection or not. But on the other hand, I guess that was still a good question.

I can't take the risk of an unwanted pregnancy.

I looked at the bed and on the floor, and I immediately sighed in relief when I saw a couple of used condoms on the floor
