Risky Alliance

Caspian's pov.

"Let's make a deal."

I looked at her, confused. What kind of deal is she thinking? We both know that her brother is my biggest rival and the reason why Ciudad Reál is a mess is because of them! How am I going to trust her?

"A deal? Really?" I shifted on my seat. "Come on, Via. I know what you're thinking. You probably want to watch my downfall."

"What?!"

Is she shocked? Does she thinks that I won't know their plan? What am I? Stupid? I am not stupid, but their plan is.

"You know what, I regretted that I trusted you. The time that I saw you holding Hunter's arms, I should've distanced myself from you! You fucking traitor!"

"I am not a traitor!" We're both shouting now. I was relieved that the other mafias were away because I am not going to waste my time arguing with this girl here in the headquarters if the mafias were here.

"Then what, Via?! Are you going to manipulate me? Again?" 

"I never manipulated-"

"Then explain why did you brought me to Aranda City when you knew that fucking someone will attack my city? We were just happy accompanying each other, we're so happy feeling each other's arms without knowing that my city was attacked because of your fucking brother!"

I'm so mad. I'm so mad at her. I'm so mad at myself that I let a reckless woman invade my heart and let my feelings and emotions control me without minding the consequences of my actions. I am the mafia of Ciudad Reál. My parents trusted me but why? Just why?!

"We went there. I thought we went there for some sort of corny dates that couples do but what now? You purposely brought me there to let your fucking brother do his plan!"

I glared at her. Her eyes were pierced on mine. It was dark and somehow.. hurt? Why is she hurt? Is she guilty of what she did to me? To my city? To the people who was involved of the attack? Why is she fucking hurt!

"Let me explain first, Cm. Can you?" She softly said. 

This is my first time seeing her being soft. I used to admire her for being a strong and independent woman but seeing her soft right now makes me want to hug her and tell her that everything is alright. That everything will be alright.

She reached for my hands to hold it. I didn't move. By the time her hands touched mine, thousands of electricity was sent to my body and all of my worries were vanished. In just a snap, my anger was gone. Just by her touch, I was drowned again in her sea of love. And no matter how much I try to swim back, it's no use. 

"Please let me explain and promise you'll listen, Caspian." She looked at my eyes. I can see the whole galaxy in her eyes. It was sparkling like the beautiful stars in the sky. I slowly nodded.

Fuck being a mafia boss. 

I want to forgive my love.

She heaved a deep sigh. "Hunter and I are siblings, half siblings to be exact," she started. She explained me everything that she know. She told me everything that I need to know. She sacrificed her honesty to her brother. 

"I am not doing this because I want you to stop your hate against me, Cm. I am doing this for Hunter's downfall. We both want my brother to stop his bullshits plans in your city," she said.

"I saw how serious and genuine you are to your city and the people here. I know you don't want anything but safety for them because that's what you promise your parents. To be the mafia that Ciudad Reál deserved," she continued.

"Now, I want you to trust me big time, Cm. I want a deal with you."

"What is it?"

She heaved a sigh and closed her eyes. "Let's have an alliance. Let's fight my brother together!"

I was shocked. At first, I was hesitant to agree but I saw how her eyes screamed determination and braveness. 

I nodded. "Let's have an alliance."

I know it's risky. But for her, for the city and the people, I will do everything.

Even if it cost my death.
