Trent's POV I woke up when I felt someone shaking my shoulder. I rubbed my eyes as I opened them and looked around. I was confused at first and immediately looked for Devin while reaching for him. I was confused when I didn't see him anywhere, but instead saw strangers. Or at least initially they looked like strangers. But the confusion quickly washed away when I remembered what happened and why he's not here. The strangers were no longer strangers when I remember who they actually are. Everything quickly crashes down and reminds me that not only do I no longer have a mate, I no longer have a boyfriend either. I no longer have a chosen mate.
