Owen was in the hospital for three days. They said he was fine to fight, but he could be slower. My heart sank at the thought of losing Owen. I loved him; he was my mate. Owen walked out of the hospital, and we walked to an SUV. Derrick wanted to show us the cabin they fixed up for us. In the last three days, I had refused to leave Owen’s side.
