Chapter 50: Do You Like Me?

"What?"

Adriel was fully awake now, all the sleep leaving her system.

"What do you mean the car won't start?"

Zeth twisted the key to start the engine once more, but it only made a weird creaking sound.

"I think the battery might be dead," he said.

Adriel sighed and leaned back against her seat, grasping her seat. "I can't believe this." She got out of the car to see if they could ask for any help, but unluckily, they were on a secluded road far away from the city.

Zeth also got out of the car and cursed under his breath when he realized that the battery picked the worst place possible to die out on them.

"Where are we?" Adriel asked, looking for some kind of civilization. "It looks like we're in a desert. Does this really lead up to the photoshoot site?"

"It does," Zeth responded. "Jo just picked out a secluded beach to lower the chances of other people being on the site."
