Adriel came back to the house with a sad look on her face.

“Angel,” Zeth warmly welcomed Adriel as she entered their house. He placed a kiss on her cheeks, but Adriel remained aloof.

He immediately detected that something was wrong. “What’s wrong, angel?” he asked, tucking her hair behind her ears.
