Trauma

The next morning Selena opened her eyes from the brightness of the morning light. She sits up from the cold floor and gazes at Gabriel's bed.

“He's not in here. I wonder where that devil could be. Ah, what should I care? It is none of my business if he is dead or alive.” Selena mumbles.

Sleeping on a cold tile was not to her comfort, and her grumbling stomach was not helping.

The door opened, and Gabriel came inside the room with a tray full of every delicious breakfast treat Selena could think of in her mind.

'Waffles, pancakes, strawberries, PB and Jam, whole wheat toast with cheese, milk, and freshly squeezed fruit juices.' Selena thought with thirst in her eyes.

Her mouth watered when Gabriel set the tray on the floor before her, and Selena could not wait to have a bite since her stomach had started making loud rumbling noises.
