SELIORA POV

This could not be good.

We were in the middle of nowhere with armed men surrounding us.

I watched as Kaelion fought the men bravely but he was strongly outnumbered. I knew the only thing that could save me was to run.

I quietly opened the door to the car and got down while making sure none of the men could see me. I then took a step but before I could run, I felt a hand over my shoulder.

“You are coming with us,” The voice spoke behind me, gripping my neck with his large hands.

“If you do not stop fighting, we are going to kill her right here and right now,” An unfamiliar face who seemed like the Alpha of the pack instructed.

“Let her go, you can take me,” Kaelion replied to my surprise, dropping his knife while I looked on in shock.

Kaelion giving himself up to save me was something I never imagined could happen.

“No Kaelion,” I heard another voice say before someone else before I felt a searing pain through my head. For the first few seconds, everything became blurry.

“Seliora!” Kaelion called out, as I felt my body falling to the ground.

“Wake up,” I heard a voice say, faintly.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw Kaelion staring into my eyes.

“What happened?” I asked, trying to sit up.

“We got taken,” He replied just as I fully opened my eyes. “You have been out for hours.”

My eyes instantly scanned around the small room which was a prison cell.

“No, we cannot be here,” I stated, looking at Kaelion who had chains on both his hands and legs. “Who are they?.

“The crescent pack, they attacked our borders on the day I had thought it was your father coming to rescue you,” Kaelion answered.

I instantly recalled the moment as he stopped talking.

“Well, what does he want from you? We have a man who has all the secrets we need in the trunk. We cannot possibly let him escape,” I said, standing up. “We are going to have to get back to the car before he finds a way to escape.”

“I know, Seliora,” He stated.

“You should have kept fighting him,” I muttered angrily. “You should not have stopped fighting.”

“He would have killed you without hesitation, I promised to let you go after all of this is over and I am standing on my decision,” He said.

“Fine,” I muttered. “What do we do then? Jackson has no idea we are here. How are we going to get out?” I asked.

“We wait,” He replied.

Taking a deep breath, I peeped outside the cell gate.

“Do you have a plan?” I asked. “If you do, you need to tell me right now.”

“No, I do not,” He muttered.

I felt like hitting the cell gate and crashing out. This was not how I had imagined it all to go.

After I was done staring outside of the cell gate, I returned to where I was earlier seated, beside Kaelion.

“How did he know we were going to be on the exact route?” I asked in a low tone.

“The route. It was along the borders of his pack,” He replied, closing his eyes. “You should get some sleep, we have a long day ahead of us.”

“What!” I muttered angrily. “You got us into this.”

“It was either I took that route or risk the blood moon pack getting to us on the highway,” He said.

I nodded my head slowly then leaned against the wall but after a few minutes, the door to the cell swung open.

“Come on out,” Two muscular men demanded, taking off the chains from Kaelion’s legs and pulling him up.

I stood up almost immediately and walked behind the men who led us to a large field in which a large number of people had gathered.

I could hear them murmur as we both walked into the field.

“That is the popular and fearless Alpha Thane daughter of the Ember fang pack, I heard he slaughtered her whole pack,” I heard one of the people say.

“Stop walking,” The guards demanded as we got to the middle where everyone could see us.

Afterwards, the crowd all stood up and bowed their heads.

“Is that him?” I asked, Kaelion in a low tone.

“Yes, his name is Damon,” He answered. “He is their Alpha.”

“You are still a coward you know,” Kaelion stated in a loud voice. “After so many long years, you are still absolutely terrified of me.”

I could see what Kaelion was doing, he was trying to provoke Damon and get him angry.

But why?

“I dare you to a one-on-one fight right here and right here. You let us go if I win but if I do not, you are free to do whatever you want.”

“Deal,” Damon responded, making his way towards Kaelion and me. “I have heard so many stories about your beauty and bravery, dear Seliora. I am going to kill him and take you from him.”

Damon stared at me with so much lust in his eyes.

Kaelion had to win this or I might get stuck in another pack with an Alpha who wants to take me forcefully as his mate.

Damon then demanded his men unchain Kaelion and hand him any of the weapons he wanted.

“You have to win this, Kaelion,” I muttered to him nervously before watching him walk towards Damon.

Kaelion had no fear in his eyes yet I had doubts.

Damon must have been preparing for this day for a very long time. I knew exactly how it felt to finally have a chance to get what you must have wanted for so long.

Kaelion walked over to the side where the weapons were and picked up a sword.

He then charged towards Damon who instantly sent him flying into the air with just a kick.

“We are so cooked,” I muttered, watching Kaelion get up while Damon looked towards me with a sly grin.

“You are mine, Seliora,” He said, charging forward towards Kaelion again.

SELIORA POV“Someone is here,” I whispered into Kaelion’s ear before slowly peeping into the hospital room.It was Rex.He was in the hospital room to finish what he started just like I had predicted.I could feel Kaelion’s heartbeat race as he leaned towards me and watched Rex make his way slowly towards Zack who was lying unconscious on the hospital bed.I could also feel his anger rising but this was not the time to act. I needed to see if there was anything Rex could do that which give me some clues about why he was doing this.“Stop!” Kaelion growled, rushing out of where we hid as Rex pulled a knife out of his shirt. He immediately gripped Rex’s hand while I watched the scene quietly.“I trusted you, Rex. Why would you betray the pack like this?” Kaelion asked, his voice a bit calmer this time.Rex didn’t look remorseful about what he had done. He only continued to struggle to release the knife in his hands.“Why!” Kaelion barked, finally taking the knife from him and swinging i

SELIORA POVI was completely sure of this. After Jackson had earlier announced Zack had been attacked, I was certain it must have been one of the guards.Back at my pack, there was a way I was able to determine whether a person was telling the truth or lying by listening to the sound of their heartbeats.I did the same to the guards as Jackson interrogated them about the incident. They all had slow and steady heartbeats which told me all I needed to know, they were speaking the truth. This then made me conclude the traitor was a person of a higher rank in the pack. This narrowed my options and left me with two options. Jackson and the head of the pack of soldiers, Rex.Asking Kaelion to call out all of the pack members was a way for me to search Rex’s room. The search was difficult, I had to unlock his room and hurry because he could be back in any minute. For the first two minutes, I kept searching but found nothing that could prove him guilty. Afterwards, I tried to make my way out.

KAELION POVI had nothing to do with what happened to Alpha Thane and since I would really love to explain to Seliora, I had bigger things to worry about.Jackson looked really worried.“The prisoner from the blood moon pack was attacked and almost killed in his cell,” Jackson stated. “I think this might be the same person who attacked Lexi.”“What!” I exclaimed, angrily.Enough was enough.Today was the day I was going to find whoever was doing this. The traitor in the pack had to die today.“How is he?” I asked, storming out of the office angrily with Jackson. “How did the person who did this pass through the guards without being caught?”“He is in the pack hospital. All the guards on duty have been tied down. They all claimed not to know what happened,” Jackson answered. “Whoever did this is not an ordinary pack member, he is someone who nobody would have suspected,” Seliora spoke behind me.“Gather all the pack members, Jackson,” I demanded, as we walked out of the house.Zack co

SELIORA POV“Seliora,” I heard, Kaelion call out to me while my head continued to spin. “Take deep breaths.”“I..do..not..think.. I..can,” I stuttered, running my hands through my hair.I was having an anxiety attack. The last time I had one was when my sister died years ago.“You are all right,” Kaelion said pulling me into a tight embrace while I just remained there. After a few minutes, I managed to calm down.“You good now?” He asked, breaking the hug.“Yes,” I replied, walking over to the phone which was still on the table.“Why..Father?” I asked, as my hands trembled. He has broken my trust in him. Not only that, I wondered if he was ever going to tell me the truth that Kaelion didn't threaten to kill me.He lied without hesitation.“Forgive me, Seliora. I will make sure to come get you,” He replied.“I said Why?” I yelled, picking up the phone. “You did this to our pack, you ruined everything. I defended you with all I had in me.”“It’s complicated, Seliora. I had to do it bec

SELIORA POVI was sure either Kaelion or Jackson was behind this.“I haven’t been here to see him since we arrived back here yesterday,” Kaelion answered with a straight face.“You have to be lying! Why are you doing this?” I barked, facing Zack again before rushing out of the pack cell. There was no way I was going to wait for one more second and listen to more lies about my father.I could hear Kaelion calling out to me as I walked away but I was too upset. I had been looking forward to this day, for the chance to finally clear my father’s name only to be lied to instead.“You have to finally face the truth, Seliora. It's not going to change just because you refuse to believe it!” Kaelion stated, further fueling my anger.“It's all a lie, he is clearly lying and so are you!”I yelled, looking back at him. “You would do anything to make this lie about my father true. He clearly denied knowing my father yesterday. What changed?”“He was not telling the truth, Seliora,” He answered. “No

  • SELIORA'S REVENGE; HER COMEBACK   chapter 53

SELIORA POVI couldn't explain how I felt about the hug, but I could also not deny that it felt good.I could have instantly pushed Kaelion away the minute he pulled me in yet I stood there. I let him hug me after everything. After Jackson took me back to the pack house, I was thrown into the cell. A few hours later, the pack guards dragged me out and made me stand where everyone could see me.Not only was I angry, but I was mad at myself for not thinking.I had the perfect opportunity. I could have gotten the Kysnite and driven Kaelion and the Blood Moon Pack member to my father’s house, but I didn't.Instead, I decided to save the man who was responsible for all the pain I had to go through.“What the hell is wrong with you, Seliora?” I asked myself, walking over to the bed while running my hands through my hair.Back at my pack, I used to make sure I did the right thing. I was calculative, I did everything at the right time but each time Kaelion and I were together, I felt differe
