“Where were you this afternoon?” Dominic turns around to ask me softly.
I stare up into his eyes and reply, “I was walking around in the gardens. Honestly, I didn’t want to be by you right at that moment.” My voice fades away as I stare into those gorgeous hazel eyes and feel myself start to melt.
“Why?” He sounds immediately concerned and cocks his head like he is trying to figure out the inner workings of my mind.
Hesitating for a few seconds, I keep staring into his eyes until I feel like I am being pulled into them. Then I feel his hand on my arm, as he grasps it gently. “Are you alright?” He asks with a devilish grin on his handsome face.
