Chapter 39: What A Man
The minute I heard that he used me as bait, I decided that there was no way I would let him mate with me any time soon even if it was for a good reason. I simply can’t let him that close to my heart if this man is going to use me so carelessly for his own reasons. Knowing full well that if I had been captured again, whatever that was out there would have beaten me or at least held me till Dominic would have given in.
So, I lay on this cot even after I wake up, just stewing in my own thoughts and feelings about him. I don’t say anything to a single soul and when he glances over at me here and there, I glare back at him. Sighing, I wish one thing right now. I should have brought a book with me so I could be reading at least.
Instead, I must stare over at the two of them watching the screens and wonder why. Why did he do it? He could have grabbed me the minute he saw me enter the castle. But no, he didn’t and why was that

After hearing voices loudly talking in the next room, I collect myself before opening the door and walking in.
