Knock! Knock! Knock!

"Who's there?" Adolph enquired

It's me, Louis.

"Oh, Louis, come in" Adolph ushered Louis in.

Adolph's bedroom speaks of royalty.

The bedroom has wooden walls and beams and is designed in the form of a cabin. A king-sized bed with a robust wooden headboard, a bed frame covered in cozy hand-stitched linens, and luxurious bedding is located in the middle of the room.

A sizable stone fireplace to the left provides warmth and acts as a welcoming focal point. An inviting armchair is placed next to the fireplace.

Large windows in the space provide panoramic views of the surrounding countryside as well as a lot of natural light.

Louis is a Beta werewolf who is Adolph's right-hand general, and also his best friend. They have been friends since childhood.

Adolph lost his mom at birth, so he was taken care of by his mom's head servant. Adolph's dad also passed away when Adolph was 15, and since then, he became the Alpha king of the Moonlight pack.

Being a young alpha king of the Moonlight pack comes with a lot of challenges and responsibilities because you are entrusted with the leadership of the pack, and you are expected to make decisions that will impact thousands of lives. You must also protect the pack from external threats.

Thanks to Louis or else, it wouldn't have been easy at all for Adolph.

"Where have you been Louis?" Adolpha asked.

" I am so sorry, I have been busy with the pack duties, you know as a general, I have tight schedules, so I quickly rushed to complete today's task so I can come to see you."

"Hope no problem?" Louis asked.

"It is nothing too serious," Adolph replied.

"It is just that I had a dream. In my dream, I saw myself helping a girl that was attacked by a bear, and I helped her in annihilating the bear. Do you know the shocking part? I told her that I was her mate. I didn't know how I knew she was my mate. Adolph narrated his dream to Louis.

Louis with a surprised look hugged Adolph, then he said with joy. "I guess you have finally found your mate. I am so happy for you. After all these years you have been looking for a mate.

What does she look like? Is she beautiful? Is she tall or short? Does she belong to this pack?" Louis kept asking Adolph a series of questions.

"I am sorry to disappoint you, I didn't get to notice  all these details"

"I woke up as I was about to meet her closely." Adolph blushed.

"Thank the goddess you have finally met your mate at the age of 19. I had always thought you wouldn't meet your mate, and you will be celibate forever. You are the first king not to have met his mate earlier."

"It is good news getting to know you finally have a mate." Louis teased Adolph.

"I have to go now, it's almost time for evening duties so I guess this is where we are drawing the curtains of this discussion.

I hope you meet your mate physically soon, and I am curious to know who she is, and what she looks like." Louis grinned.

"Anyways, I am sneaking out to my usual spot tonight, and I won't be back to the pack till 10 pm. I need some time to myself to relax so I am entrusting this pack to you till I am back." Adolph informed Louis.

I am not allowing you to go alone to the woods." Louis disagreed. "There are a lot of dangerous things out there, and I would not want you to be hurt by any. The wood might not be safe for you to go."

"I know you care about me, Louis but I need to go. This rest is essential for me, and you know that being around nature makes me relaxed, and increases my ability to think fast and judge well."

"I guess I have to allow you to go then but make sure you are safe out there and be conscious of your environment." Louis reluctantly agreed.

"I will be leaving as soon as you are leaving my room so I can be back before 10 pm."

With a confident look, Adolph declared, "You don't have to worry too much about me, Louis, I am an alpha and a king of this pack. I shouldn't be scared of the wood, instead, the wood should be scared of my presence, and all animals should be and respect me."

"Let me escort you, then." Louis offered.

"Oh, it's okay. I think that would make you a little bit relieved."

Louis accompanied Adolph to the main entrance of the pack, then he returned to the pack, and Adolph headed to the woods.

  • Scarlett: The Rejected Omega   I will

The events of the previous day gradually filtered back into my memory as I woke up. I recalled the wonderful recovery I had brought about for Adolph, the man I loved more than anything in the world, my heart fluttered with joy. Adolph walked into the room as if reading my mind, his eyes glistening with a secret he could no longer keep to himself. My heart warmed at his sight, at his commanding presence, at his unshakable affection."There is something I need to tell you, Scarlett," he said, his voice tinged with a mixture of astonishment and joy. With my interest awakened, I grinned at him and invited him to speak about whatever was on his mind. Saying, "What is it, Adolph?"He broke the news that had made him so happy with a compassionate face. "Scarlett, you're carrying our child."I was unsure of the meaning of the words for a little period of time as they hung in the air. Then, like a tsunami, the realisation swept over me. Adolph would become a father, and I would become a mothe

  • Scarlett: The Rejected Omega   Delicate Condition

I took a deep breath and started to go up to each patient one at a time. I held out my hand and used the healing power the Moon goddess had given me to softly touch their foreheads. I could feel the warmth of my touch spreading throughout their bodies as the energy streamed from me. Their expressions changed as I went from one person to the next, from suffering to relief to hope. The pack's physician and his assistants were astounded to see the once-pale faces come to life and take on colour. As they realised that our pack had finally experienced healing, gratitude filled their eyes. My eyes started to tear up, not from grief but from the intense feelings I was feeling at the time. The doctor of the pack remarked, his voice full of awe, "Thank you, Luna Scarlett. Our pack has been given a second chance at life thanks to you."I grinned, a mixture of pride and modesty filling my heart. "It's not just me," I said in response. "The Moon goddess is the one who saved us. And you all made t

  • Scarlett: The Rejected Omega   You're alive??

With a start, I awoke to see my surroundings illuminated by an ethereal, otherworldly light. My original assumption was that I had entered the werewolf afterlife known as Elysium. However, as my senses became more acute, I understood that I was still very much alive. Not in her regular shape but rather as a display of her real power, the Moon goddess stepped in front of me. I received a fleeting glimpse of it before my life vanished, a sight that should have been impossible for mortal eyes to see."Am I really in Elysium?" My voice quivered in amazement and perplexity as I questioned. The Moon goddess grinned warmly, exuding a presence that was at once incredibly strong and utterly compassionate. "No, my dear, you are still among the living."I exhaled a sigh of relaxation as appreciation flooded my body. I'm grateful to the moon goddess for saving my life."I must apologise, Scarlett," she said, her eyes displaying a trace of regret. You perished because that was me in my actual form

  • Scarlett: The Rejected Omega   My chest tightened...

I was standing in front of Adolph when I realized that this might be our final embrace and our last time together.I clutched on Adolph as if my life depended on it as his arms embraced me in a warm, loving hug. We both had tears streaming down our faces as a bittersweet monument to the love we had for one another.Adolph muttered inconsolably, "I don't want to let you go," his voice shaking with sorrow.Although his words mirrored my own, I realized there was nothing else to do. In an attempt to permanently imprint the memory of his aroma and touch into my very being, I squeezed him closer while buried my face in his shoulder.Adolph touched my ear and whispered, "I love you, Scarlett."Even though I was choking on emotion, I was still able to speak through the tears. Adolph, I also adore you with all of my heart.Time seemed to stand still as we held to each other for what seemed like an endless amount of time during our heartbreaking farewell. Although I wanted to cling to this emb

  • Scarlett: The Rejected Omega   I'm ready

Through my room's curtains, the dawn's first light could be seen. I had been up all night thinking about the agonizing decision I had to make. The load of sacrifice was one that fate had placed on my shoulders. I had to face my destiny since I could no longer deny it.My limbs were heavy with tiredness as I got up from the floor and walked over to Adolph's room. No matter how terrible it would be for both of us, he was my heart and my love, and I needed to tell him what I had decided.Adolph was seated on his bed when I walked into his room, looking at me with concern and a sense of despair. We need to discuss, I said in a shaking voice, "Adolph."He nodded, never taking his eyes off of mine, and I could tell he was nervous from the look on his face.I inhaled deeply as every word I spoke caused my heart to ache. "Adolph, I've made a decision."What decision, Scarlett? he inquired, his brows furrowed.I battled to contain the feelings that threatened to overpower me as tears began to

  • Scarlett: The Rejected Omega   Explain everything to me!

I was standing in Adolph's room when the words were spoken, my heart racing with a mix of rage, perplexity, and despair. Adolph looked at me, but it was obvious that he was uneasy and unsure of how to handle the feelings that had risen between us.His voice quivered as he said, "Scarlett," "I... I didn't know how to tell you."I was unable to muster the will to reply. I was now at my most enraged. My anger had been simmering. I had placed my entire life and heart in Adolph's hands, and now I stood in front of him, staring at the unthinkable.Adolph inquired, "How are you holding up, Scarlett?" showing his concern for my well being. The question he asked only served to feed my rage. He knew what he and Louis had talked about and what they had decided on my behalf, so how could he ask me that?I spoke louder and more vehemently out of exasperation, "Sit down and explain everything to me!"Adolph complied and sat down on the side of his bed with his shoulders hunched. He started up by de
