Letting Go

Alena starts getting the girls out of their chairs. Standing up, I decide to help.

“I can help.” I pick Katy up from the chair. At least, I think it is Katy. I carry her up with Alena behind me. “No point making two trips. If you want, I will get their bath ready, then you can get their clothes and things ready?” I should help. I am staying here, so I should help out.

“Thank you, that would help.” She smiles as I walk out. Running the bath, I wonder if I would be like Jackson if I met someone new, with a child and a wife, just us two, no one else. Finishing the bath, Alena walks in, the girls holding her hands, wobbling along the way.

“All ready for the princesses, I will leave you to it.” Walking out, I shut the door and go to my room. I get ready. Tonight will be a good night, the start of a new life, I hope anyway. Grabbing the jeans, I put them on. It feels weird. I typically only wear them with my brats or nights out at clubs. Finishing getting ready, I walk out. Alena looks stun
