Author's POV

The environment was filled with laughter, chatter, and the sweet scent of henna.

The women and children were dressed in colourful attire, applying it on each other’s hands, sharing stories that brought beautiful smiles across their faces.

They were all gathered around the bride, who was sitting gracefully on the decorative chair. Henna was spread on both her hands as designer work, showing the new path the bride had chosen for herself, the new beginning of her life.

At the big function, one girl was sitting in a corner. Her slender figure was draped in a saree, and the soft fabric hugged her curves. Her petite frame and the saree’s colour were a mesmerizing blend of turquoise and silver, reminiscent of a moonlit night sky.

Her light brown-coloured gaze sparkled with a combination of nervousness and fear. Her hair was pulled back into a stunning braid, with a few strands falling on her face, left to give her an ethereal look and it was doing so.

Author's POV She flinched, her body getting frozen. Her delicate lashes were damp with tears, her breaths coming short; she didn’t know what to do.Her lips were trembling, and those innocent, pure brown-coloured orbs filled with unshed tears. She was looking like a child who was fearing him. That was all it took.“Brown,” his voice husky as he mumbled slowly, making her heart race.“If you ever dare to show this kind of smartness again, nothing will be worse than me,” he warned her. His voice was dangerously calm, making her hands tighten.“And you know exactly what I’m capable of.” His voice sent shivers down her spine. Before she could do anything, his lips crashed onto hers. The kiss was heated and demanding. His hand slid beneath the fabric of her clothes, his fingers travelling over her skin with a tempting heat that sent goosebumps across her skin.A gasp escaped her lips, but it didn’t make it out as it got swallowed. Taking the chance, he ran his tongue deep into her mouth,

  • Shadows Of The Dark Heart    Explanation [18]

Author's POV The ride was pin-drop silence, filled with suffocating tension. Vincent’s jaw was tightly clenched as he controlled himself, his eyes fixed on the road.Aria sat still, not daring to move. Her fingers gripped the edge of her clothes tightly in between them. Her heart was pounding in her chest as her mind recalled the day when he had thrown her from the railing but he had caught her that time. What… what if he didn’t this time? She was going to die. The thought cut deeper inside her, making her tremble in fear. She just looked at her hands, as even moving a little could make him mad and he would throw her out of the racing car.The car finally pulled in front of the mansion. Before she could think anymore, he got out of the car, slamming the door shut behind him. As she saw him walking out, she slowly opened her side door, stepping outside, not wanting to anger him more than he already was.Aria swallowed hard as she saw him walking inside. She didn’t know what to do, so

  • Shadows Of The Dark Heart    New Felling [16]

He looked calm, as if the intimidating, cold, dangerous man was far away at that moment. The puppy stretched his body, letting out a tiny yawn, then rested closer to Vincent. Despite the fear, Aria almost smiled. This little one is braver than I am. The thought crossed her mind. She slowly tried to get up.
