LOGIN“You hit me.”
“I did.” He shrugged like it meant nothing that he had just hit me. “Why are you here?” “Practicing.” “For what?” “Because of the show you put on earlier at training, you think everyone is going to forget what you did, and how much of a loser you are? Selfish bastard.” “Is that why you hit me?” “It’s not enough is it? You deserve more.” “Go ahead then, hit me again.” I stood upright and faced him, stood close enough to his chest, I was five feet seven, and he was probably around six feet two, and he couldn’t intimidate me with that height. “Hit me.” I threatened him by gritting my teeth. I didn’t care that we were being watched, I wanted to see what he could do. “That’s enough Logan, let him be.” Elijah stepped in, his hand touched Logan's shoulder, and he tried to push him away from me. “What would you do if I did?” He asked, not paying any attention to Elijah who was trying to stop him. “Why don’t you try and see?” I retorted, and he scoffed. If he had touched me, I was going to shift into my wolf form and fight him, and I wouldn’t care if I ended up getting caught. “Enough.” Aimes stopped. He came in between us, his back to Logan while he faced me. “What are you doing here?” “I was trying to…” I can’t let my female hormones take place when I try to explain what happened, I don’t want to end up crying while I was trying to explain that he had hit me intentionally. So I turned because I needed a moment for myself. When I had that, I turned and faced Aimes again. “Are you okay? Freckles.” I nodded. “He hit me first.” “I mean your forehead is swollen.” “Take him. El. I will have a word with Logan.” “Come, munchball,” Elijah said with a sigh, and I followed him out of the field. “If you had gotten into a fight with Logan, he would have been expelled from the team and you.” He stared at me over his shoulder. “You will still be in the team.” “He started it.” “But shouldn’t lead to you fighting, both parties involved should be expelled, it happened before, you got into a fight with a team member, he was expelled, you stayed. It was like you found a way of getting rid of the people you hated in the team.” I didn’t want to believe that Kaius was like that. “Then I would have gotten Aimes out if I wanted.” “The captain is the only one holding the team together, if you take him out, the team will eventually break out. Seat. I’ll get some ice.” I sat down on the bench, while he went out to get some ice, I started to feel the sting on my forehead. He came back with the ice, he squatted in front of me, rubbing the ice on my forehead gently. “Does it hurt?” His voice calmed. I hummed. “Sorry.” I raised my eyebrows to him, his eyes were on me, from my eyes down to my lips, and back to my eyes again. I fluttered my gaze, and didn’t want to look at him. All my life, I have only liked one boy, and that was Cameron, his shy smile, his curly hair, his eyes and each time he picks me up and gives me the princess twirl. He always makes me feel like I was some Disney princess but I doubt if he ever felt the same way for me. He always kept some boundaries between us, because he was Kaius’s best friend. But all of a sudden, he stopped. I wanted to know why he did that, but watching him from that distance, beyond reach, maybe it had always been one sided. “What happened?” Cameron asked, squatting beside Elijah. “He got hurt.” He wanted to take the ice from his hand but Elijah didn’t want to give it. “It’s fine, I’ve got it.” Cameron stood up and took the seat beside me. I took my lips in and said nothing, even when I felt his hand brushing against mine. I took the icebag from Elijah’s hand, because of this uncomfortable feeling from them, he gave it up immediately. “I think I need to go.” He got up. “I’ll meet with the Captain and see what he’s up to.” I nodded, and he jogged out, back to where I came from, and into the dark, the lights turned on, and everywhere became bright again, there was a standing lamp right behind us. Cameron stared in silence. “I heard it was Logan.” I hummed. “Let me see.” His hand touched my face, and tilted my head towards him, I felt this flickering in my chest. “I think the ice helped.” His hand moved from my cheek to my jaw and dropped to my shoulders. “Why did you stop talking with Kaiya?” I found myself blurting out. He didn’t hesitate before he replied. “I thought we talked about this.” “Her eighteenth birthday is coming soon, have you thought of a present for her?” He shook his head. “I don’t think I would see her.” “Why?” “It’s better if we keep our distance.” “Why?” He turned, facing the dark again as I had not asked. “You know Kaius, you already know why so stop asking me that as if you’re trying to torture me again.” At his words, I fell silent. “That’s Aimes’ jersey, are you close enough to wear that?” I didn’t say a word to him, not now, I just didn’t even want to see him.I came back to get dressed for the carnival, and didn't expect to see Logan at my door, leaning on it with his hands behind him. I glanced around to see if there was anyone in sight, but it was just him. And me. I rubbed my neck anxiously. “I came to apologize.” He moved away from the door. “I’m sorry about this earlier, I shouldn’t have done that. I’m sorry.” He lowered his head at me. “I’m sorry too.” He lifted his head. “You don’t have to be.” “I was wrong, and I should apologize for it too, just got annoyed at what you did,” I said, leaning on the wall close to him, staring blankly at the door of the room that was right across. I might not have known everything about Kaius after all. He stretched out his hand towards me. “See you at the carnival.” I nodded and took his hand. “Yeah.” I entered my room when he was gone. Aimes was writing on a note. He looked dressed in navy blue pants, a striped shirt that had pink on it. I wasn’t going to dress with him in the room, I

I was in the room, facing the mirror on the wall while I sat on the chair, and was trying to clean up the injury in my elbow when Aimes came into the room. Shirtless, but has his training shorts on. He didn’t say a word to me, I looked away when he entered, focused on having my elbow treated, but surprisingly he pulled a chair close to me, and took my hand. “Give me that, freckles.” He took the ointment from my hand, the cotton wool, gently cleaned the blood of my elbows, his hair fell to his eyes, and then he blew air from his mouth to the injury. The fact that he was so calm and focused made him look attractive, and I just couldn’t help but stare dreamily at him. He placed the plaster on the injury, dropped my hand on the table, and the next injury was on my knee. “You were supposed to wear that to protect yourself…” I scoffed as if he weren’t there when they attacked me with force. He did the same treatment on my knee. I watched him while he did that, wondering why he was
Cameron left me at the door of Kaius’s room. I wanted to ask him at that moment why he never called me, why he kept his distance from me on my sixteenth birthday. But I couldn’t bring myself to ask him all the questions that I wanted, so I let him go. I heaved a sigh of relief before I opened the door. I didn’t expect to see a shirtless man in front of me with just his boxers on, a towel around his neck, wet dark hair, and strong arms. My jaw dropped at the sight. He spun around slowly, and his eyes met mine, while I was still at the door as if stuck. Those forest green eyes, sharp jawline, brunette hair, a pointed nose, and thin red lips. His wet hair was close to his eyes, and water dripped from it down to his body. “Are you going to come in or get out?” His harsh voice snapped me out of my trance. “Were you checking me out? Weirdo.” I huffed and closed the door behind me. I walked past him, to take the bed that was close to the window. I figured that would be Kaius’ space.
My twin Kaius was useless. This was the fourth time he made his team lose the hockey game. I shook my head in disgust. I should be the one there, not him. “Look at him, Dad, disgracing the entire family. That he’s good for nothing.” “Kaiya, words, that’s your brother.” Mom chided and I rolled my eyes. “Kaius is doing his best, he’s so sweet.” “Unbelievable.” I mouthed. No matter what Kaius does, she always defends him like it was nothing, Kaius could never do anything wrong in her eyes. The match ended in defeat, and I was pissed because we lost. “I would have been better,” I muttered under my breath as I watched him limp out after the end of the match with his best friend Cameron Vaughan, Kaius had his arms around Cameron’s neck, and they walked tittering together. I felt the urge to squeeze them. I have known Cameron since I was six, it was around that same age he was adopted by the Gamma and his wife, Gamma Vaughan had brought him to the Pack house, introduced him to my f
