Cameron left me at the door of Kaius’s room. I wanted to ask him at that moment why he never called me, why he kept his distance from me on my sixteenth birthday.

But I couldn’t bring myself to ask him all the questions that I wanted, so I let him go.

I heaved a sigh of relief before I opened the door. I didn’t expect to see a shirtless man in front of me with just his boxers on, a towel around his neck, wet dark hair, and strong arms.

My jaw dropped at the sight.

He spun around slowly, and his eyes met mine, while I was still at the door as if stuck.

Those forest green eyes, sharp jawline, brunette hair, a pointed nose, and thin red lips. His wet hair was close to his eyes, and water dripped from it down to his body.

“Are you going to come in or get out?” His harsh voice snapped me out of my trance.

“Were you checking me out? Weirdo.”

I huffed and closed the door behind me. I walked past him, to take the bed that was close to the window. I figured that would be Kaius’ space.

I dropped my bag on the bed, and was about to take out some of my things. Cameron warned me to not get involved with him, and I would try to do that, avoiding him was one of it, but I didn’t expect him to be this hot.

“That’s my space.” He muttered behind me, when I turned my body against his rock body.

Gosh, those abs. I could imagine my fingers trailing those lines down to the perfect curved V-line at the end, and I lowered.

He squatted, his hand on his knees, and he kept eye contact with me. “Have your freckles always been this much?”

“It’s weird.”

“Ha-ha.” I blurted out, because I didn’t know what to say, and he gave me a blank stare.

“I will just go to bed.” I brushed past him to the other side of the bed, which was at the corner of the room.

That was so awkward.

“With your clothes on?” He asked.

“Excuse me?”

“I wonder why we can’t just cast your lazy ass out of the team,” I heard him grumble.

He turned to me. “You came here all sweaty, you should get a shower.”

“Right.” I spread my lips and showed off my teeth.

He shook his head at me, like I was a lost cause.

I went out of the room to take a shower, and I followed the directions that the two boys had left. When I got there, I gasped at the sight.

There was no way I could take off my shirt here, so I turned my back immediately, I would have to come back when they were all gone.

“Kaius!” Someone called.

“It’s the Alpha’s baby boy.” Someone said and the rest of the boys laughed.

“I heard his new roommate is Aimes, no longer Cameron. Aimes said he’s going to beat him up when he sees him. He’s still angry that we lost because of him.”

“I trust him, he could do that.” They kept laughing, my back was against them, and I said nothing.

I walked out of the bathroom, holding the kit I came with, I sneaked back into my room.

Aimes had his back turned on the bed when I got in, he wasn’t wearing a shirt when I came in. I lay on my bed quietly, staring at the ceiling, my phone beeped with a message and the call from Dad came.

“…you left without a word.”

“You were having a meeting with the Beta in your office,”

“You came?”

“Yes.”

“You should have waited for me, I wanted to see you before you leave for school,”

He sighed over the phone. “That’s unlike you. How are you, my princess?”

“I’m fine.”

“If you need anything don’t hesitate to let me know, and I’ll take care of it.”

I hummed, and we spoke for a little more minute before he hung up, Aimes turned after the call ended, and he stared at me with those green eyes.

I heard he was going to hit me when I came, why didn’t he?

“How does it feel to be loved?”

“Is that why you choose to do as you please? Some of us worked our asses off to be here, but you don’t care since you are the Alpha’s son, you don’t come to training, you do whatever you want. You piece of shit.”

I held my phone tightly in my hand, and turned to the wall, facing it.

“Are you ignoring me, freckles?”

“No.”

“I just think you’re right.”

Kaius had a class in the morning, I worked very early, I was up already by 3am to use the shower, and changed into the binder around my chest, glad that I had small tits.

I left the room before Aimes woke up, and I was finding my way to the class. I had checked his schedule, and there was a training session right after the class.

“Kaius?” I heard a voice behind me, and there was Lydia, she was Kaius’ ex girlfriend.

I groaned and tried to force a smile at her. Lydia was a model, and Kaius didn’t want anything serious with her, but she had been so tied down because of family benefits.

“You sent a text that it was over, just a text, K.”

I remembered when I had sent the text, Kaius said he was tired of her, and I wrote the message that they were done, and gave her some reasons for it.

But I can’t deal with her right now.

“Hm.”

“Will you be at the carnival tonight?”

I furrowed my brows at her.

“I have a lot to say to you, and you'd better not hide from me because I’m going to find you and haunt you down!” She stomped her feet on the ground, and I flinched.

Someone chuckled behind us, and I turned to see someone leaning on the wall with a lollipop stuck in his mouth.

“Go away Elijah.” She hissed and walked out of the hallway.

“Elijah.” The name rolled off my lips as he came forward.

“I was expecting to see a black face but I guess Aimes missed.” He mumbled, and took the lollipop off his mouth. “Off to class?”

“Unbelievable.” He chuckled and wiped the side of his lips.

“What carnival is happening tonight?” I asked, he shrugged, and placed the sweet back in his mouth. “Are you coming?”

“It’s not my style.” I turned and kept walking. I heard him laughing behind me, but he followed me with his hands crossed at his back, matching my footsteps.

I stopped at the locker and tried not to let him know I was searching for Kaius’ locker, but his fingers pointed it at me. “It’s here.”

“What are you thinking?”

I stared at the locker, and there was a password on it.

Shit.

What could it be?

Elijah rested his back on the lockers, watching me, can he just go away?

“Don’t tell me you forgot the password.”

“Of course not.” I snorted at him.

“Open it then.”

I placed my hand on the locker, cursing him, but a hand brushed mine, and opened the locker. “Here. Happy?”

“I didn’t ask you to do that Cameron.” He straightened himself, moving away from the locker, his gray eyes fell on me, with dark hair, a lanky body with an oversized jersey, and baggy pants. “Cute.” He muttered with a soft smile, and I scrunched my nose.

I watched him open his locker, bring out a book, and walk away.

When I tilted my head to the side, I found Cameron staring at me so closely.

“I tried calling you, did you block me?”

I chuckled nervously “Why would I?”

I took his phone from his pocket because it was quite visible, and typed down my contact on it. “I’m using this for now.”

“Why?”

“Lyd.”

“Is she still calling?”

“She's basically blowing my phone up, and I don’t want her to be able to reach me again, so I’ll use this for now.”

Good. Lie.

He nodded, he was in a white T-shirt which was quite transparent, and black jeans.

We had the same class together, Cameron took the seat beside me, and Elijah was behind us, Aimes was at the other end of the classroom.

His lips were pressed tightly in a frown, and he looked focused on whatever he was doing in his notebook.

Cameron explained to me briefly what the teacher was teaching, and I told him that he was wrong. He looked surprised at me, I shouldn’t have said that.

The training was fierce, they kept hitting me from different angles, I couldn’t count the times I fell, and Cameron couldn’t block every hit that came my way.

I started to hit back, my body crashing against theirs.

When the puck dropped, my eyes locked onto it, and I skated with precision, weaving through the opposing team. Aimes and Elijah were part of the opposing team, I skated through like a ghost, my stick flashed tapping the puck, and I passed it over to the back to Cameron, and I slipped into the slot unnoticed.

When the puck came to me again, I gave a calculated flick of my wrist, released the puck, feeling it leave the blade of my stick, the puck sailed towards the top of the net, the goalie diving desperately to make the save.

But the puck hit the back of the net, and the goal light flashed.

My breath sounded heavy in my ears, I dropped my stick, I pulled out the helmet and tossed it on the ground.

Leaving them watching as I made my way out of the training court.

I came back to get dressed for the carnival, and didn't expect to see Logan at my door, leaning on it with his hands behind him. I glanced around to see if there was anyone in sight, but it was just him. And me. I rubbed my neck anxiously. “I came to apologize.” He moved away from the door. “I’m sorry about this earlier, I shouldn’t have done that. I’m sorry.” He lowered his head at me. “I’m sorry too.” He lifted his head. “You don’t have to be.” “I was wrong, and I should apologize for it too, just got annoyed at what you did,” I said, leaning on the wall close to him, staring blankly at the door of the room that was right across. I might not have known everything about Kaius after all. He stretched out his hand towards me. “See you at the carnival.” I nodded and took his hand. “Yeah.” I entered my room when he was gone. Aimes was writing on a note. He looked dressed in navy blue pants, a striped shirt that had pink on it. I wasn’t going to dress with him in the room, I

“You hit me.” “I did.” He shrugged like it meant nothing that he had just hit me. “Why are you here?” “Practicing.” “For what?”“Because of the show you put on earlier at training, you think everyone is going to forget what you did, and how much of a loser you are? Selfish bastard.” “Is that why you hit me?”“It’s not enough is it? You deserve more.” “Go ahead then, hit me again.” I stood upright and faced him, stood close enough to his chest, I was five feet seven, and he was probably around six feet two, and he couldn’t intimidate me with that height. “Hit me.” I threatened him by gritting my teeth. I didn’t care that we were being watched, I wanted to see what he could do. “That’s enough Logan, let him be.” Elijah stepped in, his hand touched Logan's shoulder, and he tried to push him away from me. “What would you do if I did?” He asked, not paying any attention to Elijah who was trying to stop him. “Why don’t you try and see?” I retorted, and he scoffed. If he had touche

I was in the room, facing the mirror on the wall while I sat on the chair, and was trying to clean up the injury in my elbow when Aimes came into the room. Shirtless, but has his training shorts on. He didn’t say a word to me, I looked away when he entered, focused on having my elbow treated, but surprisingly he pulled a chair close to me, and took my hand. “Give me that, freckles.” He took the ointment from my hand, the cotton wool, gently cleaned the blood of my elbows, his hair fell to his eyes, and then he blew air from his mouth to the injury. The fact that he was so calm and focused made him look attractive, and I just couldn’t help but stare dreamily at him. He placed the plaster on the injury, dropped my hand on the table, and the next injury was on my knee. “You were supposed to wear that to protect yourself…” I scoffed as if he weren’t there when they attacked me with force. He did the same treatment on my knee. I watched him while he did that, wondering why he was

My twin Kaius was useless. This was the fourth time he made his team lose the hockey game. I shook my head in disgust. I should be the one there, not him. “Look at him, Dad, disgracing the entire family. That he’s good for nothing.” “Kaiya, words, that’s your brother.” Mom chided and I rolled my eyes. “Kaius is doing his best, he’s so sweet.” “Unbelievable.” I mouthed. No matter what Kaius does, she always defends him like it was nothing, Kaius could never do anything wrong in her eyes. The match ended in defeat, and I was pissed because we lost. “I would have been better,” I muttered under my breath as I watched him limp out after the end of the match with his best friend Cameron Vaughan, Kaius had his arms around Cameron’s neck, and they walked tittering together. I felt the urge to squeeze them. I have known Cameron since I was six, it was around that same age he was adopted by the Gamma and his wife, Gamma Vaughan had brought him to the Pack house, introduced him to my f
