Kang Dae Jun ' S Story

            A student wearing a uniform from an elite SEC school appeared to be walking alone while carrying his guitar in a crowded Seoul City at night. He is Kang Dae Jun, a handsome student who has a sharp cynical gaze but is able to dazzle any girl who sees him. Dae Jun is on his way to go to a cafe where he does a part time job. 

         The student worked as a singer in the cafe. He went there every day to sing a few songs. Dae Jun really likes to sing in front of a lot of people and he hopes that one day he can become a singer whose recognized by the public. He had just barely entered the door with a guitar on his back but suddenly someone stopped him and forbade him to go inside.

            "What is this?"Dae Jun asked the thin, handsome man, he was one of the staff at the cafe where he worked, Lee Sungyeol.

            "I'm sorry Dae Jun-ah, but from today onward you can't visit this place anymore" Sungyeol said feeling guilty.

            "don't joke me around, you're the one who asked me to sing here" Dae Jun said and being puzzled. He did not understand why his friend suddenly changed his mind. 

            "but you really can't come here anymore, I'm really sorry..."Sungyeol said with a sad face. 

            "did something happen?"asked Dae Jun who caught the strangeness of the attitude of a man who was a few years older than him. Sungyeol was just silent, he felt afraid to tell the truth.

            "what happened here Yak Lee Sungyeol!"yelled Dae Jun annoyed.

            "your mother came here and told us to forbid you to sing" Sungyeol said at the end. Dae Jun was silent and looked at him sharply .

            "my mother?"the man asked in a mocking tone, he grinned at himself.

            Dae Jun is the son of Kang Min Jae's second wife, the recognized talented singer. The marriage between her mother and Kang Min Jae is unknown to the public, but all of Kang's family knows about it. They live together with his first wife and children but their relationship has never been so good. 

            Dae Jun and his mother were moved to the Kang family home when he was seven years old and had an awkward life with the rest of the family. Other members of Kang's family assume that Dae Jun's mother is having an affair with their father and make their relationship become worse. 

          They continue to treat Dae Jun and his mother so badly without Kang Min Jae's knowledge as the Family Leader. Last year, Dae Jun's biological mother died from her illness and since then Dae Jun has lived alone in a home that feels like hell to him. 

          He sings in a cafe as a backing singer to express his hobby and his biological mother already knows about it. She lets Dae Jun do everything he wants because he wants to make her son find happiness outside the hell house . But now, his biological mother has died and he lives in the house alone with his stepmother and children.

            "she's not my mother," Dae Jun said in the end. He turned his body and took the road back towards the house.

            "yeah ... Dae Jun-ah, Kang Dae Jun... I'm really sorry, huh?" Sungyeol's screaming was heard from a distance.

            Dae Jun finally reached his family home, he quickly entered the gate then walked towards the entrance.

            "brakk!!"the student kicked the door hardly to open it. When the door was wide open, he entered the house in a rough and hasty manner. 

            "yak! Gangster! What did you do to that door!"shouted madam Kang who suddenly appeared after listening to a loud voice from outside. Dae Jun did not listen to her and continued walking towards the upper floor directly to his room.

            "you jerk! Stop there!"the woman shouted again. Dae Jun stopped in his position and glared at his stepmother with a sharp look and a feeling of annoyance.

            "so since you're banned from singing, you want to try to destroy this house?"Mrs. Kang asked coldly approaching her stepson. 

            "why? Why are you trying to interfere with my business?" Dae Jun is angry.

            "are you stupid? Do you think my husband sent you to the SEC Foundation just to make you a street singer? Yak! Don't waste my husband's money for nothing! You bastard!" said the stepmother poked Dae Jun's head with her index finger and pushed him hardly.

            "don't you dare to touch me."said Dae Jun coldly throwing madam Kang's hand off his face.

            "Yak fucking boy! Is that the way you talk to your parents, did your mother never teach you manners? That bitch!" Madam Kang continues to curse on Dae Jun and his mother who have died because of her hatred for both of them. 

            "Shut your mouth! You're the bitch here!"Dae Jun shouted furiously. He did not accept it because his mother who had nothing to do like that had to be brought along by his stepmother. 

            "Plaakk!!"Madam Kang slapped Dae Jun on the cheek hardly.

            "Watch your fucking mouth! How could you possibly yell at me like that? Don't you realize who you're here for? That bitch of yours has made my life like hell in this house, I'm so relieved that she's finally dead now, and you! Be careful, you're just alone now , I can kick you out whenever I want!"Madam Kang shouted before leaving Dae Jun alone.

            "aissh!!"Dae Jun shouted in frustration as he kicked the wall beside him with all his might.

            Dae Jun then entered his room and saw a picture of his mother, he really missed her very much, without his mother by his side he felt very lonely in that hellish house.

            "brakk!!" Dae Jun hit his own guitar to the floor and broke it. He then threw everything he saw and made it break into pieces.

            "aakkkh!!"the student shouted and then threw himself on the bed.

            After feeling a little calmer, Dae Jun woke up and wanted to get out. When he passed the dining room, he could see that all the Kang family were gathering for dinner together, there was Mr. Kang, Mrs. Kang and their two children.

            "Where is Dae Jun? Call him for dinner together." the head of the family said to his wife.

            "I already called him dear and told him to eat but he refused and closed the door loudly in front of me, he became very rude after his mother died," said the lying mistress. Obviously she deliberately did not want to invite the student to eat together with her family and spoil the atmosphere of a beautiful dinner. 

            Mr. Kang was silent after hearing his wife's words, he then continued to enjoy his meal without saying anything. 

           Dae Jun who listened to their conversation then left the house in secret. Once he reached the outer side of the house he immediately ran as fast as he could. He feels very frustrated and wants to leave his life now. He kept running towards the school, he entered the building from the window and ran towards the roof.

           The student wanted to calm himself down and get away from all the complexities in his life. He walked to the edge of the roof and saw the entire school building that seemed dark and deserted from a high place. It was almost midnight and the building was dark everywhere. Dae Jun felt so lonely in this vast world, how much he wanted to escape his present state.

            "nan yeogiesseo.. (I'm here)..."Dae Jun muttered softly in a pitiful voice.

            "nan yeogiesseo!!!" he shouted and then let out allb the frustration of his lonely feelings in a loud voice. 

            "bugg!!"suddenly Dae Jun felt something hit his back, he turned around and found a roasted corn that had completely cooked on the floor.

            "aiissh ... you're so noisy, I know, we all know that you're here!"Joon Woo said as he was upset. 

         He was grilling corn with Hyang and Hyun Ki. Dae Jun was completely unaware of their presence as he was too focused on his own frustrations. He thought there would be no one at school at this hour. 

            "come here, let's join us! We have some delicious grilled corn " Hyang said at the time. Dae Jun didn't say anything and planned to go somewhere else.

            "you feel lonely, right?"ask Hyang then. The student simply glared at her with his sharp eyes.

            "I know that, it already seems so obvious, I understand that kind of feeling, what it's like to be lonely..."said Hyang smiling.

            "Well, what's your name?"ask the student again. 

            "you don't need to know my name" Dae Jun said coldly.

            "aigoo.. you're so rude!"said Hyang annoyed. She then stood up and walked over to approach Dae Jun.

            "whatever your name is, let's be friends, all of us" Hyang said as she pointed towards Joon Woo and Hyun Ki behind her.

            "why should I be your friend?" Dae Jun is still being cold.

            "since you're lonely, let's be friends so that you won't feel lonely anymore, so we won't feel alone in this vast world anymore..."said Hyang . 

            Dae Jun looked at the schoolgirl and she was still smiling, she then looked at Joon Woo and Hyun Ki who were now standing, they also smiled, welcoming him, sincerely. It was the first time Dae Jun saw people who smiled at him sincerely like that and it reminded Dae Jun of his late mother's sincere smile just for him.

            "Hey you! You can think about it later, let's enjoy the food first" said Joon Woo who was impatient to see Dae Jun who stay still and silent.

Do Myung Sik ' Story

            In the quiet side corner of the school's magnificent building, Myung Sik was with his friend. Yes they appear to be friends on the outside, but on the inside they never treat the weak and stupid tall student like a friend but as their servant. Now, after Myung sik made some minor mistake, the four of them had already punched and beat him harshly.

            "Sorry, I won't do it again, I'm really sorry" the tall student pleaded while protecting his head in the hope that they would free him and stop hitting him. But unfortunately, they won't listen to Myung Sik's words and just keep beating him. The student received a hard blow in his stomach and he felt a lot of pain, he almost vomited from the blow.

            "Why are you doing a bullying at this school?" ask the voice of a girl behind them. They turn around and find Hyang is standing in front of them between Joon Woo, Hyun Ki and Dae Jun. It wasn't the first time the group bullied Myung Sik and Hyang had seen it so often. 

            "this is our business, you don't have to bother to take care of it" said the group leader to Hyang with a smile.

            "do you want to fight with me?" she asked coldly. There was a terrifying and formidable aura emerging from the beautiful girl. 

            "what?" ask the confused leader. He knew who Hyang is, and he didn't want to have any problems with her because he knew the big influence of the girl's family there.

            "chh... don't be afraid, I won't tell my father if you really want to fight with me, so do you want to fight?"said Hyang again realized about the student's fears about her family background. They all just shut up, and looked at Hyang with a blank look. 

            "why? You don't dare to? You don't even have the courage to fight with a girl like me, you're such a loser..."Hyang provoked the group. Joon Woo, Hyun Ki and Dae Jun smile as they listen to the girl's last words which taunting them as losers .

            Feeling provoked, the leader of the group became very angry. He felt like his pride as a man had been torn apart because of her words. He raised his hand highly and tried to slap Hyang in the face but the girl immediately caught his hand quickly and holding it tightly made the boy mumble in pain.

            "look! My hands are much smaller than yours, but your strength can't defeat me? Are you a little girl?" He yell again.

            One of the gang members already felt seething from hearing Hyang who continue to denigrate their leader. He comes forward and tries to hit Hyang but Joon Woo kicks the student right in his stomach making him pushed back against the wall. 

           Two other members also try to attack, one of them attacking Hyun Ki and the other attacking Dae Jun. The genius student almost received a punch on the face but he was able to grab the hand of the man who attacked him quickly, Hyun Ki hit the student in the face and kicked him hardly in the stomach.

            On the other hand, Dae Jun managed to dodge the blows from his rival making the student who attacked him just pass through his body just like that. After he stood behind Dae Jun, the student who had a dazzling look turned around and kicked his back making the student fall with his front body touching the ground first. Hyang who still held the leader's hand, then twist the student's hand and made him stand with his back face her. 

            "if I see you hit someone again at school, then your leg will break later, arraseo (you understand)?"whispered Hyang in his ear and twisted his hand harder.

            "akh! It hurts! It hurts " the student was unable to endure the pain in his hands. 

            "you know I can break your hand right now, right? Do you want me to break it now?" He is threatened.

            "anniyo (no) .. anniyoo (no) ... mianhe ( I'm sorry), I won't do it again" said the student deflating forgiveness from Hyang.

            "tell the others not to bully the weak one here too, arraseo (you understand)?"ask Hyang again.

            "sure...sure ... arraseo (I understand) !"said the boy. Hyang was satisfied with the answer, she let go of the student's hand right then and there. 

            "aigoo...!"teased Joon Woo pretending to hit the leader on the head and he seemed scared because of it. The four boys then run away and leave Hyang's group.

            Dae Jun takes Myung Sik's bag on the ground and gives it to its owner.

            "thank you Kang Dae Jun" said the tall student to the handsome one, they were classmates.

            "gwenchana (you okay)?"Hyun Ki asked Myung Sik. The student simply nodded without daring to look at their faces.

            "yak Do Myung Sik, do they always bully you like that?"Dae Jun asked intriguingly . 

            "ne...they've been bullying me since I was in junior high school, " Myung Sik replied weakly.

            "do you want to be such a strong person that no one will dare to bully you again?"ask Hyang then. Myung Sik seemed hesitant for a while but in the end nodded without looking at the girl's face. He's really scared. 

            "we will teach you how to fight, let's be friends together!"said Hyang excited but Myung Sik still looks scared.

            "yak Do Myung Sik... don't be afraid, we won't pretend to be your friends just to bully you, let's be a real friends, all of us...."said Hyang again. 

         Myung Sik finally raised his head and saw Hyang's face. He found earnestness in the girl's facial expression and he finally nodded when he saw Hyang's honest eyes.

            "good! Be yourself and don't be afraid to show us all of your real side, we are all good at fighting, if you want, Joon Woo is a professional fighter, you can learn from him, right Joon Woo? " she ask her best friend. 

            "Well, I want to teach you if you give me a billion dollars" the man made a joke but with a serious expression and made Myung Sik open his mouth widely in shock. Where can he get that kind of money. 

            "yak!"said Hyang nudging Joon Woo's arm.

            "just kidding, he looks so funny, let's really be friends, Myung Sik-ah, right?" Joon Woo asked Hyun Ki and Dae Jun. Both of them just smiled at Myung Sik making the timid student smile in the end.
