“What happened?” Linda and John turned to look at the newly arrived Lizzie and Zephyr and with a little girl on their side. Lizzie looked shaken while the Zephyr was calm as he held the kid’s hands. If Linda doesn’t know better, she would think that Lizzie and Zephyr had a daughter. “What happened to Amilia?” Lizzie asked again when she didn’t get an answer. “She cut herself. She just came a few days ago and she was kind of strange but we didn’t think much of it. “Zephyr!” Lizzie called out to Zephyr but the latter was not responding. She was just staring at his black orbs that seems to be sucking the life out of her. Zephyr was changing. He looked just like how he is when Stacey’s incident happened. He looked creepy with that void eyes and the shadowy figures that were advancing toward him. Zephyr’s arms shoot out. He grabbed Lizzie by the neck. Senna was shocked by the movement that she quickly let go of Zephyr’s legs. Gasping, Lizzie tried to pry herself away from him. “Are you sure that she will survive?” The Fallen asked the angel as they both watched Amilia sleeping in an isolated room. “She will survive. That Shade won’t let her die just like that. She was waiting for this person to come for a decade just to get back at you. She was so into you.” The angel said. The Fallen can only shake his head at his comment. It was not unusual to hear his comment like that. He had been hearing it forever and now grew tired of it. “You need to be prepared when she wakes up. I don’t know if that Shade had escaped this body or not. It’s always better to be prepared.” After saying that, the angel disappeared into thin air. The Fallen was left alone at Amilia’s side. He looked down at her peaceful face and stared. “How did you come into this kind of situation? Is it my mistake when I saved you back then? I don’t know how to help you anymore.” Amilia was still asleep and the Fallen sighed. He is not waiting for a response but he sure hoped he would get some.

A hurricane hits Vegas for the fourth time this month. Everyone was in panic and nobody even expected this to be happening. The government was doing its best to do some damage control but it was still not enough. People are dying and many victims had lost their homes. The evacuation centers are full of the elderly, children, and pregnant women. All in all, everything was in chaos. “Dear citizens, we have everything under control! There is no such thing as scarce resources. There is nothing to worry about,” the mayor calmly announced the day after the fourth hurricane hit. “What are you talking about? Do not sugarcoat everything. We know that the government can no longer handle the situation. We are all going to die!” That statement made people in the evacuation center fell into a frantic panic. Amilia gasped as soon as she opened her eyes. She held the side of the bed tightly as if it was her lifeline. Her heart was beating loudly, she was afraid that it might destroy her ribs. She scanned the whole ceiling to calm her nerves. But the silhouette she saw in her peripheral vision caught her attention. “Editha? What happened to her?” Linda, Lizzie, and Amilia raced towards Editha’s ward following the nurses. They were fetched by one of the nurses when they were alerted of an emergency in Editha’s room. They all rushed inside and found her empty bed. The nurses were quick to check on every room where Editha might be. But she was nowhere to be found. Amilia walked over to her bed and felt it. It was still warm. “She must still be around,” she muttered out loud. “Check on the security,” they all looked when a doctor came in and took charge of the situation. The nurses run outside to do what they’re told. The doctor went inside and face the three women standing there. He introduced himself briefly as he extended his hands toward Amilia. “My name is Doctor Baron; I was in charge of Mrs. Gerald. Lizzie found Amilia lying unconsciously on the floor when she returned to get her. They were already at the scene when they noticed that Amilia was not with them. She kneeled beside her friend and tried to wake her up. Amilia was not responding. “Help! Nurse!” Lizzie shouted for help. One of the nurses walking in the hallway heard her call and was quick to help her. The nurse checked her pulse and when she felt a slow beat there, she called for a male nurse to help them put Amilia on the bed. Lizzie was just standing at the side, worrying for her friend. She didn’t think much of it and thought that Amilia fainted due to shock. She waited until her friend was settled down in the bed and the nurse told her that there is no major problem. She walked up to Amilia’s side and looked down at her. She inspected her friend’s face. She looked different from before.
