35. A Fresh Start

It had been a few days since I had got back. The first I had been difficult. There was a lot of tears and walking on eggshells trying to avoid saying anything that would upset anyone. I had told them the basics of what had happened. Mum had burst into tears and my father’s jaw I thought would break as it was clenched so tightly. When I got to the part of me being sold to a vampire my mother had left the room, dad had gone after her to calm her down, Carabella had just looked guilty. I didn’t want that, it had happened, but I was back now. I just wanted some time to enjoy that before dealing with what had occurred.
