MasukSybil’s POV
“I guess alike always find their way to each other.” the girl by the door scoffed. She had a striking appearance that was hard to miss and as I stared at her I realized that I knew her, though the memory was quickly slipping away from my hand, like water. We stopped what we were doing and faced her at once, beside me Aria snorted. The energy in the room had shifted from her presence. I took note of her pale white skin like snow, dark long hair, blue eyes, and slender shape, the type men would gradually go to war for with a face so sharp it could cut through marble. Dark red marks dotted her face from the cold, only enhancing her peculiar appearance even more. It was unfair for one person to possess such. “What are you doing here, did you lose your way and fall down here?” Aria demanded, her voice was heated and I realized I had never really experienced her when she wasn’t sweet. “Shut up!” The girl snapped, her voice strong like a whip in a storm. “Peasants like you don’t have a place to talk to me.” I reared my head, taking a look at the girl. The malicious gaze in her eyes flashed in my head, so distinct that I almost recalled where I’d seen her, but the memory was fast to rush away. “My place is with the alpha unlike your likes that’s swarmed by the soldiers like bees.” She added with a condescending tone. “Then it means you have no place here,” Aria said, standing her ground, “get out of our way!” I looked at Aria who I had never expected to be so smart mouthed. The girl waved her away like she didn’t give a dime about her or what she thought. “I’m not here for you, slut.” She turned her head in my direction, her face contorted in disgust upon settling on me, even more disgust than she had for Aria. “I’m here for the new girl.” She nudged me. My eyes widened as the image stayed and I finally recognized where I knew her from. She was the girl with the alpha when I’d been shown to the throne room. The girl the Alpha was fucking, now all her nasty character made total sense. She had also glared at me at the party, when I was seated on Death's leg. I thought she said only the alpha got to fuck her. “New girl.” She gave a tip of her head indignantly, “I wouldn’t allow myself to be fooled if I were you.” Her tone was condescending, but what grated on my nerves even more was how she stood so tall and looked down at me from under her nose, like a thing coughed up. “Well you are not me and I’m not a fool.” She snorted, “I’ve been here long enough and I’ve seen many as foolish as you. They always exhibit the same trait.” The side of my face burned from irritation as she kept addressing me as a fool. I bit back my remark and allowed her to ramble on. “Just because the Alpha pays you a little attention doesn’t make you special.” “Well, I see you feeling special about it,” Aria added under her breath. Whether she heard her or not, she chose not to say and continued her unchecked lecture. “I know how it may seem, that masculine power, the dark thrill that skitters down your spine when he fucks you just right, it can get to your head. And I know what it feels like, talking from a place of experience. I can see how you change when you are around him, when he touches you, but the most dangerous men are men in unchecked power.” I was about to raze her down with a few words of my own, but somehow from the tone of her voice, soft like silk, and the steady eye contact, I decided against it. Because she was right, as horrible and as shameful as it was, she was right. I'd made myself comfortable, given in to his sick game, and let’s not forget the insane way my body throbbed like a fallen star beneath his touch. She may be a spoiled brat, but her words had been a wake-up call. “I wouldn’t worry about that, what you saw was merely a play, he made me sit on his leg. I couldn’t exactly refuse.” Sparks bounced in her ocean blue eyes and her jaw locked. Maybe she was expecting me to fret, there was no need for that. “I’m glad you have it all figured out, I wouldn’t want you acting above yourself.” Every logical part of me shut down and I snapped, “you are nothing as well, you are just like the rest of us, so don’t try acting all high up around us now.” She snickered, “Like you? Filths like you were bought, not me, I’m an alpha's daughter and everything I do is my will, I can’t say the same for you, bought for whoring around.” The horns in my head blasted and I could feel hot steam emitting from my ears. The bloody bitch. “Judging by how you explicitly opened your legs, I can bet my ten marks that you were sold for being a whore in your pack? What did you sleep with the Luna’s mate? Or worse—“ My fist went flying and before I could feel the satisfying crunch of her jaw hands wrapped around my waist and pulled me back. “Don’t do it, Sybil,” Aria said, letting go when she was sure I wasn’t going to hurl a fist against the girl. She still had the grin on, baiting me. “There’s a strict law against fighting in the camp and you wouldn’t like the punishment that comes from that because of this.” Aria tipped her head and I saw the fury in her eyes. I let my hands drop by my side as I stood back. I didn’t want to be punished because of this dimwit. “And she’s rarely alone. You will be blackmailed.” As if on cue some set of girls poured into the kitchen and stood beside her.Sybil’s POVHis teeth grazed my collarbone and I froze on my ass.‘Pull away!” My wolf snapped but I didn’t have the willpower to rip myself from his touch. My dream is for him to own me, to fuck me in the most insane way.His finger trailed down and he pushed the strap of my dress down over my shoulder. I wasn’t wearing any undies because I didn’t usually sleep with them. So when he pushed it down, my breast came into view. Plumped and plush. He took the wine from me and placed it on the table. Then I scooted inside as he crept up on me. Lowering his head, his tongue darted out and passed my hardened bud, he repeated the action till they were hard and such worthy.“Tell me to stop.” He whispered in the crook of my neck and I moaned. “Say it.”I bit my lips, fighting back a moan, and told him to stop. In which universe? His touch was a thousand times hotter than Ryder’s. He was a man and understood what he had to do to make a woman lose the semblance of her thought. And that was what
Sybil’s POVI stepped back, raising my hand as I walked out of the kitchen. Leaving the girls behind. They muttered something about me pretending, but I didn’t mind.On my way to the room, I met with Aria too. We walked side by side to our rooms. The moment we were in she dashed to the toilet while I slumped on my bed. How do I meet with my father? Should I go tonight? If I went tonight there was a high chance of getting caught, also I could go unnoticed. They wouldn’t think anyone would be foolish enough to come down to the dungeon after the incident with the spies.Aria stepped out and hit the bathroom. The warm water made it hard to leave. So leaned against the tub and imagined the ironic life.Back at my pack I didn’t have a tub inside my small bedroom, and I was free, albeit slightly. However, here I was a sex slave. I had a bathtub.“What was your dream before you were bought?” Aria asked, back on her bed, facing the ceiling. I contemplated before I answered. Have I ever had a
Sybil’s POVAfter waiting for some minutes I snuck out of the room into the empty aisle. Good, there was no one here. I hurriedly walked to the middle of the hallway before I relaxed and started walking at my normal pace.zI remembered the look in her eyes, triumphant when she said she was happy Azin died. That if she could she would go back in time to assist me in killing him.It was assuring what she said, that she wanted to kill him as well, but I didn’t completely trust her. Her fear was what made me most scared, she could get terrified and out me.But for now I had to trust her, give her a benefit of doubt before I did anything. Besides, meeting up with her multiple times would make us look suspicious. As I walked my head was buzzing with different thoughts and then I remembered Eve, should I tell her about what happened? I could trust her right? Or was I overshooting?Going down I heard a loud groan that made me stop dead in my tracks. It wasn’t the sound of the groan that made
Sybil’s POVJust in time two soldiers marched towards me.‘Run!’ My mind told me as I saw them approaching angrily. Oh no.‘Run, Sybil, run!’‘Don’t run, did you do anything? You’ll just tell the truth!’ My wolf said, but as I saw the approaching soldier I couldn’t hold my ground and bolted. My wolf groaned in frustration and I muttered an apology still running. The men chased me while Aria yelled from behind, running as well, “Stop! Stop!”“No! Don’t worry about me!” I yelled right back at her, still running. I caught sight of some servants by the balcony, some washing, and amongst other things, staring at me.You’ve got to be kidding me. Those lying imbeciles!I didn’t go far away before slabs of muscle knocked me to the ground, I rolled over about to bolt when hands grabbed the other side of my arms. They yanked me up when Aria reached us, she was panting and dropped to my feet, trying to catch her breath, “why, why did you run?” “Because you said they were after me,” I said, figh
Sybil’s POV As I worked I tried as much as possible to keep my eyes on Lily, I hadn’t noticed much of her since till this day. Now she was suddenly everywhere, going in and out of the general’s tent.Every time I saw her walking in, my pulse would race and I would mentally prepare my mind to be dragged out by my hair outside to the gallows. Maybe they would kill me by the gate for the spies lurking around to see as a warning and then they would hang my head up on a spike.Worse what if they made me watch as they rape her and then kill her instead? The rogue alpha did mention that he has use for him, I wondered if the use was big enough for the lives of his two warriors.Definitely not. I concluded.A moment later she walked back to the pack house, I was about to call her when some irritated voice asked, “How long have you been in one spot?”When I came face to face with the soldier, I imagined him to be the one who stabbed me, but that one had more roughness and wicked edges to him
Sybil’s POVThe calamity yesterday had subsided. Dead bodies were dragged out and amongst them was the soldier who fell off the balcony.Upon seeing him I straightened my already ramrod back, breath hitched in my throat. A General walked forward and peered at the bodies of the soldiers. He kicked the soldier I killed and turned to face me.“Where did you find him?” He asked the floor soldiers who were angry at the loss of their comrades.“Behind the pack house, he seemed to have fallen down.”The girl from last night was here as well. I watched as she shifted from one foot to the other, how she pinched her fabric and kept running her free palm up and down her skirt.Staring at her made my heartbeat increase rapidly, thudding like the hooves of horses in war. I should look away for my sanity but I can’t seem to find the ability to rip my gaze off her. At the back of my mind, a voice niggled persistently that if I looked away she might rat me out. For all I knew my gaze could be the thi
