Chapter 10

"I heard you're now married to the Mafia" this was the sixth time a classmate was coming into her office to discuss this.

The hospital was owned by the high school she attended,and most of the medical student had access to it on some occasions.

As for her, she'd received a favour from the principal of the school to work as a nurse in the hospital.

It was way into noon and none of her classmate had seized to ridicule her.

As I've said before,this is the sixth one.

Aurora dropped her notepad and stared up at Ethan.

"Yes" she answered honestly "Do you have a problem with that?"

He bit his lips as he rested on her table.

"It's just too bad..." he hissed "How would we have our usual fun, huh?"

Aurora sighed

"If you're out to annoy me,quit it" she replied "You know as well as I do,that we had nothing together"

"We did." he grinned "How could you forget how I slapped your juicy ass as you rode on my huge cock?"

Aurora stopped writing and dropped her pen,a frown on her face.Something occured to her just then.

She looked up at him.

"You told Matteo that we had something when infact we don't,didn't you?"

He smiled "I knew you were smart!" he snapped his fingers.

"It's not funny." came Aurora's retortion

"It is" he became serious all of a sudden "Didn't you see it as ridiculous when I kept hitting on you? Hoping that you could give me a chance?!"

"Matteo didn't lift a finger as much as I did before you opened your legs for him!" his funny expression was no where to be found

It was obvious that the poor guy was pained by Aurora's sudden marriage.

"You let him in your fucking life! If you had agreed to me perhaps Matteo wouldn't have abandoned you for the Mafia!"

Aurora watched him,her expression livid.

He stepped up to her.His tall frame looming over her.

"I will continue to hurt you for the rest of my life." he promised

Aurora sighed before she said with gritted teeth,

"Get out of my office"

He grinned before turning to leave the office.

For the rest of the day,Aurora ignored the indifferent attitude her co-workers entertained her with.

At 6pm she gathered her things together and was about to leave when Amber came in.

"Hey!" she greeted but Aurora had a stone cold expression.

She took Amber to the side of the hospital.

"Amber,did you tell them that the Don forced me to marry him?"

Amber frowned.

"Why would I do that?!"

Aurora sighed.She really felt tired of everything.

"You wouldn't believe that the whole employee know about this! And no one knows about this except you and of course my parent!"

"Aurora.." Amber felt hurt "I have kept even the most intense of your secret with me for years.. I know how much this..this sudden marriage makes you feel so why would I do that?"

"What would I gain if people laugh at you? People ridiculing you also hurts my feelings."

Aurora sighed.

Amber teared up.

"This isn't the first time you're doubting me, Aurora"

She turned and left

Aurora's hand hanged in the air.

"Amber..."

But she didn't answer nor did she come back.Aurora got into her car and zoomed back to her old house where she rested for an hour before picking a white outfit for the occasion.

She wore her usual heel and was about to enter her car when a familiar Maybach stopped on the side of the road.

She waited because she needed no soothsayer to tell her that the person was for her.

Eddy came down and sauntered towards her cladded in white and black.

"Are you perhaps going somewhere ma'am?"

"What is it?" she returned with a question

"The boss needs you at the company"

"Company?"

Eddy nodded "To introduce you to his business associate"

Aurora saw this instead as a way of showing his victory.She had earlier vowed never to marry him however she did.

Her loss and his gain.

"You know what?" Aurora stepped back "How about you take a picture of me,right now and give it to him?"

She smiled at her own ridiculous idea.

"He can show that to his associates,perhaps? As you can see.. I'm heading out"

Eddy stared at her.

"Madam..please don't make this hard for me" he pleaded "He had specifically asked me to bind you and bring you there if you act stubborn"

Aurora frowned. "What am I? A sacrificial goat??"

She slammed the door to her car shut.

"Don't you dare touch me,Eddy!" she warned and then began to turn back to her car.

Eddy stood there, shivering.

On the one hand,his boss will hear nothing of such and this..this lady seemed to be untamed.

He had no choice.It would be easier to handle this lady than the cold touch of torture from his boss.

For this purpose,he walked stealthily behind Aurora,pulled out a hanky and stuffed her nose with it.

She fell unconscious in his arms and he carried her thin frame back to the boss' Maybach.

He drove quickly to the company when his phone rang abruptly.

It was Luca.

"He-hello sir..so..sorry for the delay..I..I am at the company now"

"Company?" came his deep and grave voice "I asked you to bring her back to the house.It's half past eight"

"O-okay sir" he quickly ended the call and went back into the car.

Beads of sweat decorated his forehead.For a while he thought he'd die that day.He glanced at the back seat.

Aurora was there fast asleep,her hair scattered about her face.

He stepped on the brake and quickly accelerated back to the mansion.

He carried Aurora on his arms.

Andrea was surprised by the sight before her.She immediately got up.

"Is she alright?"

Eddy didn't answer,he climbed up the stairs and barged into the master's bedroom.

Luca frowned.

"What happened to her?" his deep,sultry voice demanded.

"I..I.. I tried to talk to her but she didn't want to come along so..I had to..to make her unconscious"

"Don't do that next time" came his response.

He gazed up at Eddy "When next she refuses,point a gun to her and save yourself the stress"

"Y-yes boss"

As he was about to lay Aurora down on his bed,

"Not there!" he immediately became vexed "Take her out of this room! Place her anywhere you want but I don't want to see her face!"

Eddy quickly ran out of the room for fear of aggravating the boss any further.

Andrea was eavesdropping nearby,Eddy asked for her help and she quickly showed him an empty room.

"You made the wife of the Don unconscious??" she attacked.

"I'm sorry madam" he apologized "But the Don himself had asked me to bind her if she refuses"

"I wanted to save her the disgrace and rather went this way"

He bowed before leaving the room.

Andrea summoned courage and went to Luca's room.He was on a call when she came in.

Soon he ended the call.

"Can I have a word?" she asked.

"What is it,Andrea?" he pulled a cigarette from the pack "If you're missing your husband just go to sleep"

He turned to her "He's busy at the company and he wouldn't be back anytime soon"

"No." she answered immediately

"It's about your wife,Aurora"
