Chapter Fifteen

MORRIS POV

Coming out from the bathroom, I walked into the bedroom, I’ve missed my king-sized bed for long, my back ached to lay on the soft bed. I let myself fall on the bed, it felt so good to finally be on the bed, I covered the blanket, I let my mind wander to nurse Patricia, it was hard not to think about her, she was the only person I looked forward to seeing every morning, for the past ten, or eleven days (give or take), she had a way of erupting smiles from people’s faces, well except for Dave, those two behave like cat and dog, sometimes it’s a wonderful sight to behold, seeing two people passionate about their jobs, I smile at the thought of them. I stretched to turn of the lamp by my bed. The whole environment was so silent; I could hear the tick of my table clock, it’s always been like this, but because I had slept in the hospital for a number of days, that was always busy, even at night, it felt strange being home again, where I slept in quietness.
