Chapter 16 - Missing Boyfriend?

Back at the old mansion

"Madam, Mr. Tyler told me to inform you that she had taken his wife to his mansion," Simeon politely relayed Tyler's message to Cecilia.

"What do you perceive?" Cecilia asked Simeon, her eyes trained outside, looking at the trees that had orange leaves signifying the autumn season.

Before he opened his mouth to speak, Simeon swallowed. "I think the marriage was nothing but a sham. However, upon observing Mr. Tyler's interaction with the girl his actions were genuine. He cared for her."

All the while when Tyler was talking to Jade at the door, Simeon observed Tyler carefully.

Tyler's usually calm and cold eyes that showed no emotion at all, had that glow in them, reflecting an emotion flooding his heart.

Though Tyler was always gentle and caring towards Sophia his eyes lack luster when he was with her. But not for Jade, his eyes sparkled and carried warmth.

It wasn't a pretense. It's just that what was in his heart overflowed and couldn't contain it.
