Chapter 17

Andrea’s POV

Two days passed by in a blur. I spent all of my time in my room, too angry to step out. My food is being brought to me occasionally which I only knew of because the maids that brought it always knocked on my door and announced my food was there before they left.

I never stood up to get it, because I was too heartbroken to face anyone. My mother came by the door thrice and since then, I was glad that she didn’t knock on my door again. I really didn’t want to hear whatever explanation she had to tell me because absolutely nothing would justify her lying to me for so long.

My life had been a lie. I tried my best to not blame her for all that has been happening in my life but now, I didn’t have a choice but to. If she had married my father, then all of this wouldn’t have happened. My life wouldn’t have turned out to be this messy and ugly.
