Lucas' POV

I went to check on Damon. He had been sleeping for 24 hours now. Dean said it wouldn’t take too long before he woke up and it had been a full day. I kept checking his heartbeat frequently. Even though Dean said the curse was broken, we couldn’t be too sure about it. Besides, it was Ruby who recommended him. She could do anything. She just didn’t care. My father and I locked Dean, Ruby and Octavia in a room until we were sure about Damon’s recovery.

I placed my hand on his head to feel his temperature and it was warm. His temperature was very okay. I checked his heartbeat and it beat fine. I tried piercing him lightly with a needle to see if he would wake, but he didn’t even budge. I usually pierced my brother with sharp objects to wake up, because he slept deeply.
