VIII. The Great Wall

As I descended the palace's grand staircase, I felt a mix of anxiety and excitement. This would be my first time venturing beyond the palace walls. What sights should I take in the town? Other than visiting the quaint churches, I hoped to visit the town's renowned pastry shops. I could only pray that Sir Nahas would grant me permission for such an excursion.

I met Asuka outside the palace, together with Desmond, the Royal Butler. The two of them came up to me and offered their greetings. "You are so lovely, Princess Tamara," Asuka remarked, a timid grin spread across my lips.

"Obviously! Since I was the best of all the servants—"

"Oh, shut up! I am complimenting the princess, not you." Asuka cut off whatever Ashna was going to say. "Furthermore, even in her tattered clothes, the princess will still be beautiful!"

I shook my head. These two are unbelievable; they are already fighting before the day has even begun. They're like cats and dogs—a funny thing to say, but I'm getting used to
