Elaina woke up to ten maids standing quietly in front of her. It scared her to see them and it took a moment to remember that she wasn't in her usual room at the tavern. “What is going on, why are all of you here?” she asked with a tired yawn. “Miss Elaina, we were assigned to you by your majesty to tend to your every need. Please let us take of you, you can rely on us for anything” one of the maid said. “What? Oh no, please don't worry, I don't need that. Elaina got a knock on her room door and got up to answer it. The person at the door was dressed in a royal knight uniform and immediately she saw it, her face fell in frustration and irritation. “What is it again?” she asked curtly, in no mood to talk.“The King wants you to join him this evening for a evening stroll” he replied with a slight bow as he presented the envelope to her.She scoffed and stomped her feet in irritation, “Evening stroll? I saw the king just yesterday, why is he requesting for me so quickly?” The king was getting on her nerves and she began to regret showing up at the dinner where it all started. Elaina exhaled as she stood before the majestic palace. It was already nightfall but the light surrounding the building brightened up the place like it was daytime. For years she had only seen the outside of this building, commoners were not allowed to go in without an invite.
