CHAPTER 70: THE DRAGON KING

Like the noise a woodpecker creates as its beak hammers away pecking at the trunk of a tree, that was how hard and fast Julia's heart was thumping.

At first, in the somber light, the dragon king's skin was like an artwork of shadows and ivory, but as soon as he stepped out into the brightness a tarpaulin of colourful tattoos that told a tall tale met Julia's sight. The artwork was so delicately designed, and it covered the right side of his body. He was devilishly handsome, with eyes so red they seemed like they were on fire. His muscles danced, and his gaze was diamond hard as he drank up Julia's nakedness. He had never seen a more radiant beauty. He was pleased with her dark chocolate skin, imagining how sweet she would taste.

Julia wasn't at all intimidated by him, but she couldn't help but feel a twinge of discomfort like she was facing a panther in the jungle. Her body was frozen into place as the beautiful, sinful predator stalked up to her. She asked herself why he was starin
